The addition of this new equipment enables our shop to offer our customers an opportunity to outsource manufacturing parts that can be Laser or Water Jet cut and CNC bent or CNC machined to critical tolerances. We will work with your production schedules. The CNC laser and press brake enables us to combine the software to create new metal parts that may not require welding or machining.

The RotoLas or laser tubing cutter uses a chuck similar to a lathe, and we can cut complicated shapes in pipe and tubing more efficiently than machining. The Water Jet is more efficient to cut thicker materials. The Water Jet can cut square and round tubing, pipe and other materials. All types- with modular plastic belts, stainless steel belts and custom radius and spiral conveyors.
Services
C & K Lord, Inc. was founded in 1947 by Charles Lord and his brother Kenneth. By 1969, C & K Lord, Inc. had become one of the largest metal fabricators on the Delmarva Peninsula. At first, their main products were sheet metal and duct work. They eventually developed experience in metal fabrication and all types of welding, especially in the fabrication of tanks and stacks.
These cutting tools give us great capability in building prototypes, small batches or large production runs for manufacturers. We use Tru-tops software to communicate part specifications between the lasers and CNC brakes.

There are many unique applications for Laser and CNC bent projects: value added parts for OEM's, conveyors, tanks, architectural effects, prototypes, signs, artwork and many special projects requiring heat sensitive materials and composites.Any job is welcome, from a single part to a 10,000 part run.
We use the same software platform with our laser and press brakes. Tru-Tops Bend is a programming system that was specially developed for bending sheet metal parts on Trumpf brakes. Developed views (layout with the part "unfolded") can be imported from 2D and 3D CAD files. Tru-tops computes the optimum bending.
Virtual design lets us draw a part in Solidworks and share it on-line with a customer in real time. Parts can be rotated and moved to show all sides. Modifications can be made to the drawing during the session to meet accelerated schedule demands, without wasted time for mailings, meetings or reviewing static pfd files.

Dropped off worn chain plates to have new ones fabricated and were told we'd have an estimate within a week and new ones made in 3-4 weeks.
We were fine with this. One phone call and 3 weeks later still no estimate but timeframe for job completion would be pushed back 3 months. A 6 hour round trip to drop plates off and another 6 hours to pick them up.
Can't rate their work as it was never done.
