Services
Medication compounding is the art of preparing customized medications that dates back to the origins of pharmacy. Our compounding pharmacists have extensive training to mix, prepare and package customized medications created to doctor-prescribed dosages and formulations. Alleghany Family Pharmacy uses the highest quality active ingredients to customize the medications to meet each individual need.
Alleghany Family Pharmacy offers free delivery of prescriptions right to your home or office. If you live outside our delivery service area, we can mail your prescriptions at no charge. We offer FREE weekday delivery from Iron Gate to Callaghan and all points in between, including Clifton Forge and Covington.
Gather your expired or unused prescriptions and over-the-counter medications (including liquids). Although controlled substances cannot be accepted for disposal, unused or expired controlled medications should be mixed with used coffee grounds or kitty litter, placed in a sealable plastic bag and thrown in the trash.
We understand the importance of taste when it comes to your child's medicine. Unfortunately for many kids, the yucky flavor of medicine prevents them from taking the recommended dosage they need in order to get better. That's why we offer the FLAVORx Flavoring System. Our flavors are specifically designed to make medication taste better.
A healthy you starts with adult immunizations. Just because you received all of your vaccinations as a child, doesn't mean you are set for life. The protection that these immunizations gives you wanes over time and there are a few new ones adults should consider too. Stop by our pharmacies during regular business hours to receive your immunizations.

Had proof the hospital not only called in but faxed in prednisone for me for a URI. They swore up and down they didn’t have it.
I guess a pharmacy tech needed some prednisone and couldn’t afford to go to the doctor to get it.
I’ll never use this place again. My husband had to call 18 times before anyone picked up. Found out from several people that they have a new girl working there that can’t find her butt with both hands.
We have a private insurance policy and they refused our insurance. Tried using a Good RX card and they said they don’t take discount cards despite others saying

I keep calling to have my prescriptions transferred but nobody never and i mean never answers the phone it rings and rings and rings! I called for a disabled friend a few months back that time they did answer but as i was trying to ask how to my friends prescriptions transferred the woman was very unprofessional and i just gave his info and hung up i figured i just got somebody who was having a bad day!but i think i will keep my prescriptions where they are i was hoping to get the delivery option because im disabled and have to depend on others.i have been calling for 3days if not not4 trying to

This Pharmacy has been outstanding in the transferring of all my prescriptions from another pharmacy in the area. They are quick in response to any questions I may have. In addition, I really enjoy the text updates when my prescriptions are ready. Lastly, I really like the drive through it makes it so convenient in adverse weather. I hope this Pharmacy is here to stay because it's an outstanding business.
