Lexi and the whole staff at Nola Derm are legit. As someone who works in healthcare I’ve had my preconceived notion of dermatology practices growing up as the son of a primary care provider.
Her knowledge and expertise are apparent , but it really is her ability to attune to the patient and her warmth of bedside manner that really made my personal visit and experience a great one. Thank you for giving such warm, competent, and compassionate care.

Wish I could give zero stars... a month ago I had an appointment with Amber, I typically see her at the Lakeview office but a week before my appointment they called to cancel and could only reschedule me within a month at the magazine office. I arrived to my appointment on time and had to wait about 10 min to be brought back and during these ten min I made the decision to never come back. I listen to Amber and a medical assistant insult a patient's mental health and use derogatory language I won't put here. Yesterday I cancelled my future appt after considering my next steps for a month

DON'T come to this facility. They don't have honest billing system. They didn't explain costs for their procedure and lab works prior to the procedure. They also didn't inform insurance coverage or your estimated cost. The employee said "she only tried to calm my nerve" when I questioned about the surprised bills that they sent. The manager who did follow up call is no apologetic or sympathy for the situation.
In addition, the medicine that they prescribed had no help but making situation worse than before we got the treatment. :(

I saw Lexie Reed and it was a wonderful experience. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, she is very personable and easy to talk to. I feel like I was heard and understood by her, and finally have the right diagnosis for an issue that has been ongoing for years. I highly recommend Lexi if you have a stubborn issue and feel that other providers have brushed you off in the past. 10/10 for Ms. Reed and this practice!

Do Not Go to this Dermatologist if you are African American! Dr. Adrian totally did not help me whatsoever with any treatment! She totally rushed me in and out of there! Prescribed me medication to A Gulf pharmacy that is all about money! She literally told me she didn’t know if treatment would work or not work for me as well as made sure I came out of pocket for medication that is covered by my Health insurance which she doesn’t want to complete the authorization for due to her wanting the pharmacy to make money!!! I will be reporting this place to my health insurance so she does not get paid

I switched providers because the previous doctor I had left his practice and Iwasnt comfortable with the new provider. I came here. My face was barely looked at. I was told on the phone there was no need to really examine my face because it is just acne it is really simple. I explained the medicine that I was previously taken and had run out of. 1. The receptionist made an appointment with a physicians assistant whom she refered to as a Doctor and it wasn't until I got my pathology report that I read she was a physicians assistant.

Looking for a new dermatologist after mine retired , I attempted to schedule an appt. I am a nurse and work night shift therefore my schedule a bit challenging.

Dr. Dobrescu is an artist with Botox, fillers, and lasers. As a mid-thirties woman my goal is to look my best - not "done." He's no-nonsense, will tell me what he thinks will look good without looking plastic and he's always right. After seeing a plastic surgeon and another local dermatologist I have finally found my go-to doctor for all my skincare. He's also removed moles - no scarring. But mole removal isn't exciting - finding someone who can make you look fabulous is worth making a review. The Lakeview location is super convenient, but I will make the trek uptown

When I first moved to New Orleans my skin had a hard time adjusting to the climate. I worked with the wonderful doctors at NOLA dermatology to design a skincare routine, and my skin has never looked better. Doctor Dobrescu is my favorite doctor I've ever been to. I went to three dermatologists thinking they were all pretty good until I met Dr. Dobrescu. He has shown genuine interest in my health and I have been very comfortable with his style of treatment. I am 68 years old and look 50 - no surgeries only daily creams.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Never even saw a MD. Went in for my skin and lady did not even touch or look at it under a light, which is what I've always experienced (I've been seeing a dermatologist for 10+ years). Ended up having a small surprise procedure, which wasn't fully explained to me and walked out the door not even understanding what had happened (until I took off the bandaid later that evening). Maybe that's my own fault for not asking enough questions, but I was trusting that I'd be taken good care of.

I cannot speak for the other doctor, however I would never recommend Dr. Dobrescu to anyone. I found that he was unprofessional, rude, and extremely inappropriate. The entire visit was rushed and uninformative. While the girls working there were friendly to me, they were not when speaking to each other and had minimal professionalism. I will not be returning and would recommend you find a physician elsewhere.

I am without healthcare. I explained this before making an appointment and said I could pay no more than $300 because of my circumstances. I was told by Ochsner medical in uptown to go to a dermatologist to have an infected keloid removed. Oschner had me on antibiotics. I HAD AN INFECTION. The doctor at NOLA dermatology didn't believe a word I had to say. He wanted to do a series of injections over 6 weeks that I could not afford. I was told my total costs for the appointment and procedures would be $300. I paid in full up front. Regardless, I keep receiving additional bills in the mail for services

Receptionist was extremely unfriendly. Was not greeted let alone acknowledged upon entering the building. I had to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time only to be rushed in and out of the exam room. The doctor I saw had another one shadowing, both disagreed on the treatment which made me question their experience and knowledge. It was clear they just wanted to get through each patient as fast as possible and didn't really care at all. I will never return here and would not recommend. Super disappointing.

I couldn't ask for a better experience at Nola Dermatology. I was able to be seen the day I called to make an appointment and had little wait time. The front desk and assistants were friendly and courteous. Dr. Dobrescu was very personable and thorough in investigating the cause of my symptoms (which are now gone). Great location too. 5 stars!

Nice location, situated near scenic Audubon park. Interior was clean, contemporary and comfortable. Front desk and assistants were all cordial and professional. No unnecessary waiting and appointment was on time. All of which, rate at least 4 stars or better but overall, it was a 2 star visit because of the doctor (Dobrescu). Rude, disrespectful and verbose. A wanna be bully wearing a lab coat. His rating is 1 star. Insulting with zero people skills and I would be surprised to learn if there are many returning clients.

Nola Dermatology was FANTASTIC! Its in a great location that's easy to access on Magazine Street. They have parking behind the building so you don't have to drive around looking for parking. The office is inside a recently renovated building that is super clean and spacious.
Dr.Gutierrez and his staff were professional, informative and personable. They explain the process of procedures, why or why not you would have to do something. Dr.Gutierrez did a great job and made my experiance as painless as possible.
