Owls Landing Campground
Owls Landing Campground is located in the heart of the Lakes Region on U.S. Route 3 in Holderness, New Hampshire. Camp close to both Lake Winnipesaukee and Squam Lake, where On Golden Pond was filmed. We offer family camping in a natural setting, where you can get away from it all, relax by a campfire, or spend time fishing, boating and hiking.

We offer rustic tent, water & electric and full hookup sites in a natural wooded setting. All of our campsites include a picnic table, fire ring or a stone firepit. Cable TV is available on select full-hookup sites and free WiFi "hot spots" are available. The Lakes Region is known for its natural beauty and is the focus of endless activities.
Services
Rates are based on 2 adults and 2 children (under 17 years old) or a maximum of 4 adults per site. Seasonals with UNREGISTERED campers are subject to property tax by the Town of Holderness. Sites are assessed annually by the Town Assessor and billed directly to the camper's home address. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, but will be held on your account and can be used toward a future stay within one year.
Children: All children must be on their sites with a parent during quiet hours. Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children. Please be sure you know where your children are at all times, and children under 6 years of age should be supervised in the restrooms. Quiet hours will be strictly enforced.
Owls Landing offers a wide variety of features for you and your family to enjoy while camping with us. All of our sites are wooded / shaded and have natural forest floors of dirt, grass, moss or gravel depending on the site. Each site has a firepit and picnic table. We have several secluded tenting sites that you have to walk into from the campground road for those who want a more private setting.

I had not been back to this camp ground in 20 years and I am so glad I brought my youngest daughter to one of the best camp grounds ever. The owners are beyond kind, the campers are friendly, fun and accepting. This has become our new home for summers spent camping. There is nothing better than Owls Landing, there is always something going on, the pool is in the perfect sunny spot

Went in, toured the campground and booked 2 sites for a month out. Husband ended up not being able to keep his scheduled time off and contacted the campground to cancel the sites 3 wks prior to the date. First they can’t find my reservations and then I’m told I can’t get a refund because their deposits are non refundable but kept in file for a later date. Really? That hard up for money. Keep the $100! Not cool!

Just ok. Not a great place during the week. No area for kids, slides and swings - toddler area was run down. Clean bathrooms. But in general there's just a lot of junk hanging around and is dated. Arcade is closed and pool was cloudy. I'm sure it's better on the weekends when more crowded and events.

One of the few American Establishments giving back to the indigenous peoples of this country. Had a pow wow this weekend and they were nothing but respectful of my culture but answered all my questions and were very hospitable.

This was our second try, and we should have learned from our first horrible experience to stay far away. We booked our weekend in January. Left work early. Excited to spend the weekend listening to great music and being with friends. Go to check in with our 30 ft camper to be told we are on a tent site. They then try to put us on a site with an open excavated sewer system dug up and ropped off. Which they state cannot guarantee the smell or safety of it. They have no other place to put us. It is now dark, wasted gas, have not eaten, taken time off of work, a ruined weekend, and a dog that needs

The staff is wonderful! The campground itself needs some upkeep. You can tell they mostly cater to campers and TVs. Tenters have to use the bathrooms which are not kept very tidy. Free coffee and soup every morning! Also the seasonal campers that live there are so incredibly nice! If you're only looking for a 1 to 2 night stay I would recommend!

I stayed here in August 2018. I was reluctant after reading other reviews but the location worked for me. After staying there I thought it was fine. Yes, it's mostly filled with seasonal rentals so they make the place look more run down. The RVs look dirty after sitting under the trees all year, many have built decks or sheds or have "stuff" around them. Everyone was friendly, my neighbors had been staying there 8 years and were very welcoming.

The people running it are helpful. It was my first RV experience and they helped me with adapters and extensions that were needed. They

The owner is great. She really goes out of her way to talk to people and help with customer issues. Also cooks a great breakfast and she has great ideas for the next year with activities. Just wish the management would change and be more like the owner cause she really makes the experience enjoyable and welcoming

My family and I spent 7 days in one of their tent sites just last week. First off, all the sites are so small and close together it s quite ridiculous and the majority of sites don't even have picnic tables. If they do, the majority are rotting or broken. Second, all these extras that they claim to have aren't even mediocre at best. The pool doesn't get taken care of and was foggy and green. The fish pond/well has nothing in it and anything that they put in there would probably die. The arcade has no lighting with dirt and leaves everywhere and lots of boxes and things just stored inside. The bathrooms

I have been a seasonal camper here for the past three years. We love it! Family friendly atmosphere. Campground is clean and nicely maintained. There is always something going on each weekend to keep both children and adults entertained. Great for just relaxing and becoming one with nature. Location is excellent also because it's near a variety of places to dine and shop.
The owner is a pretty decent guy, Mark makes you feel like you're at home. Looking forward to another great season.

Maybe seasonals like it but I was appalled. My site was outlined by exposed sewer piping... charming. The cable and electric hookups were laying in puddles in the mud. All around the store and bathroom area was clutter, clutter, clutter and mess, mess, mess. Some of the seasonal sites look like Redneck Alley. They staff was friendly and they give out free soup. There's where the 2 stars come in.

Just spent a weekend at Owl's Landing. Upon arrival, it looked quite nice; however, once we made our way to our site, we soon realized the campground did as little as possible. Our site was rocky, uneven and hadn't been raked, ashes had been dumped behind the site. We could see past the lack of upkeep of the site but, upon visiting the bathroom/shower, I was ready to leave. 1 out 5 sinks actually had working water. More than half the light bulbs were either missing or blown out, and the floors, counters, walls, sinks, toilets and showers were downright filthy. It was painfully obvious

This is the best campground EVER! I've been here as seasonal, for about two and a half years, and trust me it's left a FABULOUS impression. The owners of this campground do all they can to make it a great time! The other seasonals, and people up here are very kind. I've made plenty of great friends. Although some people aren't as friendly, I am not fazed by it because all but a few (3-4) people are amazing. You will NOT have a bad time here I guarantee it! Thank you Owls Landing for a great summer! :)

We have just returned from spending most of the week here. The kids were happy, which is rare with teens! LOL! They played happily with other kids in outdoor games and at the arcade. The owners were very helpful and accommodating, we could not have had a better experience. Thank you Owls Landing!

This campground is sad. The owners have no control over it. Cables and wires running above ground and through the middle of my tiny sight. I think we are the only sober people here. The seasonal's partied till 1am last night flying around on there golf carts. It's not that big of a campground to require a golf cart. This place is run by the seasonal campers.

Although the campground itself is beautiful with great wooded sites and wildlife (we saw an owl!), the customer service ranks at the bottom of the barrel.

We were new campers with an RV and selected this campground for the advertised on-site dumping station. When we arrived, we asked if the management could give us advice about the dumping station and they told us they didn't know how to do it either. Come to find out, despite listing a dumping station on the 2013 map, there was no longer one on site and they could not direct us to one nearby.

Overall, the management was uninformed, misinformed
