Meredith L. Stewart, L.Ac, MAOM, at Acupuncture Shreveport Wed. Meredith Stewart is a nationally certified acupuncturist and herbalist licensed to practice in Louisiana. She earned her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the renowned AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas, after receiving a B.S. degree in Biophysics from Centenary College.
What Should I Bring to My First Treatment? A list of your current medications and relevant medical reports is helpful. Bring a list with you or list your medications and supplements on our intake form, which can be filled out in our office. How Else Should I Prepare for My First Treatment? 1. Wear loose comfortable clothing.
At your first visit, you and your acupuncturist will review your main issues as well as family and personal history. Your acupuncturist will answer any questions and give you a prognosis. Then the two of you will develop a treatment plan that works for you. Your first treatment, including acupuncture and/or herbal consultation, will then follow.
Acupuncture Shreveport's offices are located in the Line-Olive Building on the corner of Line Avenue and Olive Street (745 Olive Street, Suite 212), Shreveport, La. Enter the building from the Olive Street parking lot on the east side of the building. Our clinic is both professional and inviting, providing our patients with a comfortable setting for treatment.
There are so very many resources at our fingertips these days. Also called grounding, this technique is fascinating in its simplicity. A large body of scientific research supports the recommendation of getting yourself into electrical contact with the Earth. This could take the form of walking barefoot in your back yard, or using grounding sheets or heel straps to stay electrically connected while you're sleeping or wearing shoes.
