Services
We are your hosts, Tara and Gerry. We married in 2016, with both of us bringing together children from previous marriages. Our blended family includes Gerry's Megan and Chelsea, as well as Tara's Morgan and Shane. We certainly can't leave out Steadman (Megan's husband) and our first grandbaby, sweet Wyatt!
Keeper's Galley, our spacious 4,200+ SF (2,275 SF gathering area) event center, is the perfect venue for any intimate gathering while also seating comfortably up to 200 guests. The fully climate controlled space will eliminate any stress or worry when it comes to weather on your event day. The beautiful vaulted ceiling with exposed lighted beams and intricate character lighting offers a warm ambience to make your evening just perfect.
Just a short walk to Nags Head Beach, Haven on the Banks is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. Next to the cottages and pool is Keeper's Galley, our event center comfortably seating 180+ in a climate-controlled venue with a state-of-the-art caterer's kitchen. Every event will be extra special no matter what time of year!
While our signature experience includes a stay at Haven on the Banks as well as an unforgettable event at Keeper's Galley, each accommodation may be booked together or separately. I attended my friend's wedding here and stayed in house 1. Overall great experience, the houses are well outfitted and so convenient to the venue. Each house also has a hot tub. If you're expecting a bug free experience, you have never been to NC. Staff was very responsive to issues like broken televisions or internet.
I understand there's a four night minimum to book the houses, which I hope doesn't price or time anyone out of the experience. I hope they reconsider and go back to three.

We rented two adjacent cabins for a family reunion of 10 adults and 6 children, and couldn't have been more pleased. They are very nicely furnished and fully and beautifully equipped! Kitchen very well accessorized. The beach was very accessible; pool and hot tub very convenient. The outdoor shower and hose were very much appreciated; covered carports; grill and corn hole game!
Nothing was left wanting! even a thoughtful welcoming basket of goodies. We would love to go back.

Absolutely amazing! The booking was really easy and the owners are very responsive. We booked one home out of the six. We would love to rent here again. We were 6 adults and 2 small children and the home was a great size for our group. The homes are beautifully appointed with large and clean appliances. As sometimes photos are taken with wide lens exaggerate spaces, we were surprised at the amount of space and storage in each of the bedrooms. Each bedroom had plenty of storage for hanging, drawer space, and counter spaces. Even the furniture in the living room allowed for a lot of storage of games

Our family had the most perfect stay at the cottages at Haven on the Banks! We had sunshine every day, the beach was a short walk away, and we were close to all of our favorite attractions while still being… tucked into this gorgeous beach community. The move-in and out processes could not be easier, and the house itself was clean, beautiful, and equipped with everything we needed to make our stay a great one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to Haven on the Banks. Our cottage was very clean, comfortable, modern and in the perfect location. The hosts/owners were extremely accommodating and sweet. We had a fantastic, relaxing and peaceful time which was much needed. If you’re considering visiting the area, we highly recommend staying here. We will definitely return.

WOW…it is truly hard to put into words how grateful we are that we found Haven on the Banks when searching for a place to have our wedding. This place could not have been any more perfect for our friends and… family and it exceeded expectations. We had our wedding ceremony a quick walk to the beach and then our reception in Keeper’s Galley. On the other nights we had our friends and family over to hang by the pool and in the courtyard and it was the PERFECT space. We do not tend to write too many reviews, however, we feel that every one needs to hear about this amazing space

The cottages, perfect. The venue, perfect. The weekend, dreamlike. Hands down, Haven on the Banks is the BEST VENUE on the planet. Tara and Gerry poured their heart and souls into these properties and it shows!… We have 100% trusted in their vision from kneeling in construction dust saying “yes to the address” all the way until we were next up to “tack the plaque”! The attention to detail exhibited by Tara and Gerry is astonishing and we wanted for NOTHING during our wedding weekend festivities. Keeper’s Galley was absolutely magical. Wow! Tara & Gerry have truly thought through every last detail when they created this venue. The entire place is completely magical. I don't even know where to start, except by saying thank you, for helping us stay grounded as we planned a wedding amidst a pandemic. Tara & Gerry gave us the guidance we needed to create the most wonderful weekend of our lives. Our immediate family stayed in the cottages and all of our other friends stayed close by in walking distance of the venue. We held our wedding reception at Haven on the banks 9/12/2020 and it was the most perfect weekend! Tara was a dream to work with, she responded quickly and accurately to all of my questions, and there were many being that I was the bride! The houses were immaculate, fully stocked and set up perfectly. The pool and hot tubs were a huge bonus. The Keepers Galley event center looked gorgeous for the big day and the lawn area with the outside bar really tied the whole experience together. The event center has a beautiful bridal suite that allll my girls were able to hang out and get ready together
