The Bitney campus is a welcoming and dynamic space for students to safely express their best selves. Every Wednesday students are in the community doing hands-on learning at an internship of their choice. Whatever you're passionate about, there's an opportunity.

With collaborative, experiential, and traditional methods including our full-day Internship Program, Bitney imbues our students with profound curiosity, a love of learning, and a clear sense of self-direction. Bitney Prep was founded in 1998 by the Bitney Springs Charter Council. Our doors opened in the fall of 1999, and our first class graduated in 2001.
Bitney Prep Charter High School believes that each and every student is a unique individual who is capable of spectacular things. We know that a supportive learning environment is critical to prepare young people for their journey into adulthood. Bitney Prep knows that a one-size-fits-all industrial approach to education doesn't match the needs of today's students.
Foundational to any High School education, Bitney Prep's Core Classes (English, Science, Math, and History) are taught by a passionate and dedicated group of teachers. At Bitney, we know having high academic standards doesn't come at the expense of student engagement. Learning is grounded in the real world, focused on student participation, tailored to meet the individual needs of students, and, above all else, fun!
As a free public charter school, Bitney Prep accepts all students with open arms. Our environment is welcoming and inclusive. Our size means we are able to offer specialized programs that are tailored to challenge and engage our student body. The Bitney learning community values every student as an active, unique participant.
For each class there will be a letter grade and then a percentage. Bitney Prep uses a web-accessible system for posting homework assignments and reporting interim grades called School Pathways SIS. It centralizes all information about a student's schedule, homework and interim grades in a single location, making it simpler for you to access.

WORST SCHOOL! I was sexually assaulted and have an open case, and they still kept me and the other person In all the same classes. The teachers do not know how to teach, the kids are so disrespectful and so are the teachers. I would never send me child there. Thus decided to kick me out because they did not want to deal with the problems. They broke many school laws and I'm fighting it! Taking this school to court. Do not send your child here.
