PROS: Close to downtown McCall, friendly and helpful summer temporary workcamper staff, clean laundry.
CONS: Internet is mostly non-existent and no TV. Vastly different experience depending on site assigned. You don’t find out when you make a month reservation well in advance that you will be stuck up on a hill in a pile of rocks with no shade, no trees, no bushes, no vegetation except a few weeds. Our site had shade in the mornings (from the RV) and way too much sun in the hot afternoons. The gravel hasn’t been piled well on some slopes. I slipped and fell a couple of times in sliding rock

Very nice people it was awesome I got to know McCall just by staying there. My kids played outside all day every day! Their kids were very nice! If I’m going to have to live in a camper again I will come back here!

This park is was the biggest disappointment. It was like staying in a gravel pit with no shade or space. We had booked a month stay and after trying to make this work, we decided we needed to move on. We had only been there 5 days of a 30 day stay. When we told the park owners we were checking out early she got really hostile when we asked about a refund. We expected to pay some penalty but they refused to refund ANY of the prepayment. We talked with the gentleman he seemed to be more responsible about it and said if they could rent the space they would give us a credit. As we stayed in the area

Stacy and Jeremy have done wonders to this park. We had a season spot this year and could not have been happier. The pride they take in the park is evident in all the work that they are accomplishing. Yes there is not sewer hookup. But there is not only a dump on site, but they will dump it for you on request for a nominal fee. There is water and power hookups and we love that they allow fires in the campfire rings. They also have a community fire pit The bathrooms are completely redone and there is a laundry mat on site. We will be back next year and each of the coming years. Jeff and Lora

My family had a tough time finding a spot for Labor Day weekend but a spot at Black Bear RV opened up and we jumped on the chance to try it out. I’m so very happy we did! Jeremy and Stacy have done a fantastic job with the place - the bathrooms are so nice and clean, the laundry facilities looked great (I didn’t use them this trip), and the store was pretty well stocked. Staff made rounds frequently to ensure things looked nice. The spots are a bit on the small side (though nor vastly different from other RV parks we have been to) but they do have fire pits and places for chairs so we were

This rv park is perfect for everyone. This was the best stay and family vacation I have ever experienced! It has everything I need in the store. I forgot half my luggage but they were there for me! The owners are awesome and there kids and their friends are the sweetest! The play ground was amazing for my 5 year old! I would definitely stay here again with free wifi!

This RV Park is amazing I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about?! The bathrooms are as clean as my house! The hospitality is amazing I felt so welcomed and I felt like I was truly on vacation. My 2 week stay was marvelous. My kids had such a good time a the playground with the the other park kids and owners kids! If I could do more star I would! If I ever come to McCall again this will be at the top of my list.

Staff is friendly but here are a few of the low points.
*No sewer hook ups
*Access roads inside park are gravel and dusty
*Airport located directly across the street with prop planes promptly taking off at 7 am and it's pretty loud.
*Bathrooms and showers are pretty dated.
However, if your looking for quick spot to spend the night I guess it's ok, thus the 2 stars.

One of the best parks we've stayed at, and the best park laundry room we've ever seen with high efficiency machines and plenty of table space.
The owners are very friendly and have done extensive work on the entire facility. It is clean and tidy and there are many new trees planted in the newer sections.
Great job!

This park has excellent potential given its location and general layout. Bathrooms are nice with clean and warm showers. Equally nice laundry facility. Mostly gravel with concrete pads for parking. One central sewer dump only. It sides to a residential area separated by a fence. A bit of a trash problem today (Monday) with bins overflowing and many bags sitting beside the dumpsters in an ugly heap. Bicycling into town is a little on the dangerous side with not much road apron to use but it's only a little more than a mile. Grassy areas around the sites are nice that could be manicured for a more

We were lucky enough to spend 2 months at Black Bear in January and February, and enjoyed every bit of our stay. Jeremy and his family are friendly, kind, and helpful, and the new bathhouse and laundry area helped make our time very comfortable! Great affordable housing right next to McCall. Could not recommend this RV park more!

Nice quiet, shaded Park... plenty to do do in the immediate area. We found a great place for the dogs to play in the water... Lick Creek near Little Payette Lake. Definitely putting Black Bear on the list, for a return trip !!

So, where do I start? The beginning I guess! (It's a very good place to start,,,my sound of music quote,,,ok...) My family and I arrived into the McCall area in the first week of July. I called the Black Bear RV park, as it was my final call of desperation, to find a place for us to stay. Stacy was the ONLY person that I called that would even take the time to hear me out for our long stay request. EVERYOTHER PARK in the area, either didnt even bother to return my call OR they cut me off mid sentence to say they were booked. Stacy may have been booked, but she took the time to make a schedule

After reading how nice the new owners are we decided to give them a try. They have done a ton of work and more is in the works. Loved our spot facing our friends. It was nice and big with grass and trees. The owners are very friendly!

Our family of 5 had a fantastic time during our 3-week stay in our 40' 5th wheel! Stacy and Jeremy (the owners) and their awesome family were some of the best hosts we've encountered over our 1+ years as fulltime RVers.
The park's going through massive improvements each and every day under the new ownership, with new sites being constructed, updated bathhouses, and a fantastic overall family-friendly atmosphere.
It's also tough to beat the location, as you're only minutes from town, the lake, and enough hiking and ATV trails to keep you busy all Summer.
I'd highly

We booked our stay 6 months in advance for our vacation meet up spot with friends from the west coast. We planned on staying 5 days but realized we wanted to celebrate the 4th of July there so we called and they were quick to accommodate us. We had a lot of questions since neither family had ever been to McCall. We brought our OHV to get around town and Stacy gave us all the information and pointers on where to go, what to eat etc...The new owners Stacy and Jeremy were beyond helpful, upon checking in we immediately noticed how much work they are putting into the place, the store is stocked with

Great experience. This place is nothing short of almost perfect. Very clean, quiet, friendly, centrally located, plenty of space and privacy, and reasonable- what else could you ask for? However, the cherry-on-top are the awesome owners who live on/sight and treat you like family. Beyond accommodating, we felt very welcomed and cared for. Don't stay anywhere else you won't be disappointed!
