Those who come to Key West and the Lower Florida Keys that do not spend a day or two on the water are missing the point. You do not need to be an expert fisherman or woman to connect with and enjoy the tropical environment that Key West is blessed with. Actually, you don't need to be a fisherman at all.
Booking a charter fishing trip in Key West can be a complex process that is only made more confusing by all of the of the variables involved. The weather, the tides, the time of year, and the thousands of Captains and guides available in Key West and the Lower Keys make selecting a Key West fishing charter a daunting process.
Be sure to check out our very own Capt. Mahi Mahi are migrating in mass past the Florida Keys and it is awesome. The grass lines offshore in state and federal waters of the Atlantic are loaded with mahi. Yes is was a mess and yes we are rebuilding! HOWEVER the the fishing is fantastic. For the most part if you fly into Key West you will see no signs of having a near miss of a Major hurricane.

We have been on quite a few charters in the keys over the last 20 yrs and this one with Key West Angling was one of the worst... After showing up late the capt began to clean his boat and gather ice which was cutting into our paid time.... With fish all around us was when he began to rig his fishing poles.... With the onset of covid19 relapsing in the kwys he had a months worth of cancellations and began to brag about how he wasn't returning their deposit.... The most offensive part of the whole trip was that the egotistical captain didn't even have the politeness to ask my daughter and wife their

Booked a charter with Travis. He was such a great guide teaching us how to properly cast and use a rod. (Mainly gave me pointers as I was a newbie). He would direct us where to cast and approximately how far out. My hubby caught a tarpon. It was the beat thing I have seen in some time. This fish fought for quite some time before he was able to reel it in and release. We all had a blast out on the water with Travis. Would highly recommend!

Travis was an excellent guide. Went out with my step dad for my post graduation present. Came down to the keys looking to hook up on something big or jsut anything. Travis was persistant very knowledgeable great to talk to and gain information about the island. Knows alot more than any other guide in the past and is patient when it comes to… teaching. He disn't have us hunt one specific thing but really went around and just tried to get us on fish which was: snapper. Yellow tail. Barracuda. Shark. Tarpon. Bonefish. Permit. And was not disappointed in any way. Excellent guide thank you travis
