The company was founded by Conrad Schick, a long time resident of Gig Harbor and purchased by Al in 1997. The company is located in a small business center on SR 16 NW.

Very poor customer service. Very disappointing. Salesman made more of an effort to be a comedian (wisecracking fool) than to assist us. They were closed on Saturday (normally open on Saturdays), but nobody told us... so, we wasted a trip returning samples. This location is very difficult to access due to its proximity to the freeway (it's actually dangerous). They offered no design assistance nor in home estimates. There are too many other flooring companies offering great products and service to waste your time, effort and $$ at CS. Avoid!

So I made a delivery at CS Flooring and I was verbally assaulted and attacked by one of their employees because I was unable to move a two thousand pound pallet to the back of my trailer by myself. The employees stood outside of my trailer with his hands in his pocket and offered no assistance or ideas of how to take the pallet off. The employees was in in such a rage he began foaming at the mouth and screaming at the top of his lungs. I asked to speak to the manager and a man by the name Sean came out and he was unable to calm the employees down. My experience was horrible I can only imagine what

In spite of the fact that I have never been a customer and have no previous interactions with this company, I approached Al, the president of the company with a request to donate scrap material for a charitable project I am working on. The generosity of his response kind of, um, floored me.
He went above and beyond to help a total stranger with no questions asked . He made my day, and I look forward to passing his kindness on to others. I will not hesitate to patronize this business when I do have flooring needs of my own.

The owner was very helpful in picking out tile, but when I went to order it, another staff member took my order and then later texted to say that he had to order more than I needed because he didn't realize that it was only sold by the case. He said that they would take 10% off of the total to make up for his mistake, however, when I came in today to pick up the tile, the owner would not honor the associate's written promise unless I paid in all cash. Seems shady to me, and I will definitely not be doing business with them again.

CS Floors recently installed new carpeting and pads in the hallways and three rooms in our Gig Harbor condo. Every step of the carpeting process was OUTSTANDING. From selecting the carpet at their showroom to the final installation, I was treated with patience and respect. The carpet has a slight pattern, but was so carefully laid that you cannot see any seams. Their installers also moved our furniture and they did so without a single scratch to the walls or furniture. CS may not be the least expensive in town, but their work is worth the price.

Good people, personalized and professional service! From the moment we walked in the door, to the completion of our floors, our experience was nothing but consistent. I highly recommend CS floors and all of their staff: Al (Owner/President) and Sean (Sales Assoc/Project Manager) are just a pleasure and are real down to earth people and professionals who are easy to work with and really know their stuff. Chris and Rose installed our floors and did a beautiful, thorough and detailed job. Both Nancy and Thai in the office were just as nice as could be and very helpful. Truly a joy to work with all

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! I called this Company and they sent an adjuster. He came over to my home to view the project. During the estimate he made an insulting remark about the quality of the flooring.
After waiting for over a week for an estimate, I decided to call them for a follow up. The guy told me he still didn’t have the estimate completed & didn’t know if they could do the project.
So I Called the owner to let him know that his employee was rude and potentially cost him business. He too was rude and protective of the employee without any apologies. I told him to cancel my request

There is an old saying "Let the buyer beware"!
The installers were great! The product(hardwood) was excellent!
BEWARE of extra work being charged to you without you being advised in advance that some work was not in included in the bid and a change order was not submitted seeking our prior approval!!
Our bid included extra material that we paid for to cover future damage/work was being held as hostage and will not be released.
Protect your self and make sure all changes from/or not included in the original bid are covered by a signed Change Order

We just moved to Gig Harbor from out of state. Our new home needed carpet stretching in our 2 year olds bedroom. The president of the company, Al Van Cleave, came out to my house after work to look at a carpet and said "I feel bad even charging you for this," and fixed the carpet for free! He was so incredibly kind and welcoming. I told him I would write a happy customer review here. When we need anything done with our floors in the future-I will be calling Al at CS Floors!

CS Floors just completed a large job in my house replacing bamboo flooring with luxury vinyl by Karndean. I was a bit reluctant being abit of a decorating snob but my two golden retrievers are hard on flooring. So took samples home & picked French country oak. When I saw the first room done I was totally in love with the look. Beautiful & very easy to care for. Al & Chris & Julie were all top notch. Handled job professionally & took great care with my belongings & with installation. I would never hesitate to recommend & use again. In fact thinking of doing bedroom too

He offered us a deal on some carpet that met our needs and we didn't have to wait - they had it in stock and were able to install the carpet within a week. The owner Al even volunteered to shore up some other flooring issues around our home and even sorted out the threshold of one of our doors.

Our first call that we had an accidental burn in our family room carpet resulted in the owner Al stopping by within a day to evaluate and recommend a solution. He suggested removing the burned area and replace with a piece of the carpet from a non visible closet area. This was accomplished the same day on his way home from his carpet store. He then stopped again the next day to see how the repair looked after we had stacked a weighted box on top of the repair overnight to help blend in the seam.
