Services
The Young & Company Funeral Home Funeral Home now (Ainsworth & Young) was founded in 1960 by Mr. Andrew T. and Mrs. Callie Young in the Historic Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (401 Sullivan St.) Throughout the years the Young family served the Wichita Falls community with high ethical and moral standards.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

My family and I could not have been more pleased with the service and hospitality we were shown during our time of grieving. Matthew Ainsworth showed us all nothing but kindness and compassion. Any questions that we had were answered with great expertise and we never felt left in the dark about the preparations/service for our loved one. It was refreshing to work with a professional, black owned business located right in the community where I grew up. I thank everyone at Ainsworth and Young Funeral Home for their kindness and sympathy, and generosity.

I would like to express our family’s gratitude to Matthew Ainsworth for the service he and his Funeral Home provided to my father who passed in June and to my family during a very difficult time in our lives. Matthew was perfect as he caringly helped us through our loss. His knowledge as he walked us through the entire process was invaluable. This included locating a final resting place in a Military Cemetery on the east coast of the United States. Matthew made sure everything was perfect and always communicated with us each step of the way. I will always remember your kindness. Thank You!

Losing one Parent is hard enough, let alone losing both Parents and other family members within weeks and months of each other, but we really appreciate Mr. Matthew Ainsworth and staff for the great services that were provided when we lost my Mother in law & Father in law.
From start to finish they did an Exceptional job!
The respect, honor, and support made it that much easier. They went above and beyond what we could ever ask for. You all are truly a blessing to so many families. Thank you again!!

When we unexpectedly lost my dear brother, Matthew Ainsworth, Rev. Johnny Mims, and staff were there every step of the way, guiding and comforting us through the process. How easy it was to handle the planning of his home going knowing he was being treated with dignity and respect even in death. When we finally seen Tyree, he looked the way he lived...like a million dollars. Thank you Matthew and staff for your professionalism, kindness, and compassion. You all did a great job!

To know in your time of grief, there are people you can call and everything will be alright is beyond a BLESSING. My family and I are so overwhelmed with gratitude for Ainsworth and Young. 2020 took 3 of our loved ones within 6 months of each other and Ainsworth and Young took such good care of arrangements for them. I will never be able to say enough good things about how grateful I am for them, but please believe me, if you have to entrust arrangements for a lossed loved one, you will not be disappointed choosing Ainsworth and Young.

Words cannot describe how great Ainsworth and Young funeral home team are! The professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail are extraordinary. From the first call to Ainsworth and Young I was put at ease and knew I had placed my Mom in the best of hands. We loss my Mom Alice who had a brain stroke and other illnesses in mid November but service had to be delayed until early December. Matthew made her look like the beautiful women she was, she looked as though she was peacefully sleeping. Like she had been in perfect health. Our loved one and family were treated with dignity and respect

Matthew was a complete and incredible blessing during the hardest time our family has ever faced, loosing my mom. He was compassionate, caring and more than capable. He went so far as to stop at several stores himself and look for a proper jacket/sweater for my mom's dressing because her old ones wouldn't fit. I cannot thank him and the funeral home staff enough. My dad was so impressed that he transferred his burial policy to this great team of experts. Thank you again for all you have done. God bless you! Maya

Mr. Matthew Ainsworth handled services for me and my family this September for my grandmother. We are native of Wichita Falls but currently live in Florida and we needed to make arrangements to lay her to rest in Texas. Mr. Ainsworth was so professional and compassionate. When we needed information it was provided in a timely manor and without any hesitation. He made the transport of our loved one easy and handled the service with class. We are truly grateful to have had them as our funeral home so that we could lay our love one to rest with dignity and class. Thank you and your staff for a job
