Skin Deep Tattoo and Body Piercing was established in November of 2012 with a strong belief in the future of modern tattoos and body piercing as an art form. From the very beginning, we have put a lot of work into our studio. By investing in top of the line technology, and custom building many features in the shop, we have created an environment that is as efficient, safe, clean and modern as possible.
Our artists can do custom artwork for you. Bring your idea in and share with us and we will create something completely unique for you. Many people find artwork on the web, or in a magazine, or from flash art that serves as a starting point. They then bring that artwork to Skin Deep to have us customize it to be exactly what they want.
In preparation for the tattoo, it's a good idea to get a good night's sleep beforehand and make sure you're well hydrated and eat a decent meal before getting the tattoo. A lot of people search for tattoo ideas online. Not everything you see online is a good idea. There are a number of areas on the body that don't hold ink well.
At Skin Deep we go through multiple steps and follow many procedures to ensure our customers receive the highest quality tattoos and piercings in the cleanest environment possible, using the best equipment and materials on the market. This is our responsibility. The procedures and products we have chosen for aftercare have been developed from years of experience, experimentation, and the collective knowledge of other experienced artist.

I went in a little over a year ago to get a tattoo of a drawing I made, the artist told me he couldn't do it as I was stealing art. Even though I drew it myself, I went along with it to see what he would draw up. I specifically stayed at the beginning I did not want color. I was fine with the tattoo he drew up for me and liked the changes he made, when we finally got going he kept pressuring me to add color over and over saying the tattoo would look way better. My daughter and I had a great experience at Skin Deep. Jenny and Mike are super nice. They made it feel like a friendly and engaging pediatric visit! They are also extremely mindful about cleanliness and covid protocol. My daughter has a low pain tolerance and she said she hardly felt it! I highly recommend going to a piercing shop for child ear piercing. It was also a nice touch to have speakers in the room...we listened to Kidz Bop per her request.

This one was of my best piercing experiences! Kacee was so great and the shop is really nice and welcoming. I've been getting pierced for years but I've never had such personalized jewelry for a piercing! I picked a color that I wanted my bars to be and she showed us the whole anodizing process! So neat! Nice shop, super clean, very professional, good vibes. So much information and many great tips, which is so great for people who have never gotten piercings as well as piercing veterans! I went in today to have a Daith piercing done for each ear. I was greeted by the sweet receptionist Kat who was great at walking me through the necessary steps prior to my appointment. Mike was the guy who pierced my ears and he did a PHENOMENAL job! I've had more pain stubbing my toe! He was very thorough telling me what he was going to do and when. He was extremely personable too. I don't know how many people say this, but getting my piercings was a very enjoyable process today! After looking at Omaha Best, I booked with Evan Dooley as his work really landed itself to the original concept that I wanted. He was awesome about scheduling, and politely asked if I was willing to let him redraw the concept keeping the important parts. His rework was beautiful and he offered several options in varying size. He was great about explaining anything I asked and checked in on me that I was comfortable during the outline and shading process. I never knew I had a sensitivity to jewelry until I came here! I originally came to get some lower quality jewelry I was pierced with switched out at a different studio, and I’m never going back anywhere else. All of my piercings have healed wonderfully since coming here, something I didn’t think was even possible. Mike Coons was super friendly and helpful and I am very pleased with the service I received. I went back to get my belly button pierced in late February and payed 130 dollars for it. I didn't like the way it looked but I thought maybe it just needed to heal. Probably the worst interaction with a tattoo shop i have ever had. Asked for mike Welch, talked about a swan hip tattoo, sent him a picture of the general idea and explained how I wanted the shading and all that. We got set up for a drawback appointment two weeks later. On the day of he says it's not done yet he would get it to me the next day. He did but it wasn't at all what I was expecting.... I have wanted a septum piercing for a while and wanted someone with a lot of experience because I thought with a septum lots of pain. But Mike explained that when you pierce the sweet spot it's minimal pain, seriously you're getting a needle shoved thu your skin it's gonna hurt some. But anyways Mike showed what the procedure was going to be and it literally took him like 10 seconds from start to finish and on a pain scale of 1-10 it was a 3 and once needle was thru no pain.

Overall excellent service! Shawn does an outstanding job of drawing out your tattoo and helping pick out the placement/size. The tattoos are reasonably priced and beautifully done. Got my nose pierced here a little over three/four months ago, where I've had it pierced before but have had it fall out while sleeping. This happened once again last night, which is absolutely NOT this locations fault, rather being one of things that can happen with a nose piercing and being a heavy sleeper. While getting it repierced, I asked what I should do if it falls out again, and they said if I came in before a 24-48 hour period after it fell out they would be able to put it back in before it fully closed. My 7yo daughter really wanted her ears pierced. We were recommended to Skin Deep through friends, so we made an appointment with Mike Coons. They were great explaining everything to her and letting her know what to expect. She cried after the first ear and didn't want to finish up. I went to Skin Deep for microblading & had an amazing experience. Tayler Hager did a wonderful job on my eyebrows. She walked me through the whole process, and took great concern making sure my brows were as perfect as possible. She's a very down to earth, genuine person as well. I enjoyed my experience from beginning to end. The shop is one of the cleanest tattoo shops I have ever seen. If you need custom body jewelry do NOT order from this place. I put a down payment of $30 for 2 custom lip studs and never got them. I put my order in ONE YEAR AGO. I called twice and both times got someone with an attitude saying they will call me when my order gets in but I never got a call. I have currently 15 tattoos and Shawn has either done or redone every one except for 2. I can't tell you how awesome he is or how he's the one you should go to. I went here, about a month ago now, for my first tattoo. I've had multiple piercings done around the Omaha area but never had a tattoo. I was out of town when I emailed Shawn the picture of what I wanted dates that I wanted to come in. He was really helpful via email and answered all my questions and concerns about the appointment. Went in looking to get a decent sized tattoo on my arm. Chris the guy who does the tattoos was clearly not interested in talking to me let alone doing a tattoo. He was so busy playing on his tablet he couldn't be bothered to look at the pictures I had pulled up to give him an idea of what I wanted. At first when my friend and i went in, we were very excited to get our small tattoos. The guys at the counter were very informative and nice and made sure to answer all of our questions,so we figured it was going to be a great experience! This place is very clean. The staff was very friendly. Mike Coons was very thorough in making sure I got what i wanted and that I knew what to expect both during and after the piercing.
