If you thinking about hiring a photographer, throw out everything you have heard or was recommended and call Fotio.
The patience with me - ahh, they were so kind when helping me set up the event. You have to understand this is a whole new way of having pictures taken at your event.
Kent was on time and took extra care that everything was set up properly. He really got my guests engaged, which was my main worry, but you could tell this was not his first rodeo. Everyone became really relaxed and some even resorting to mugging for the camera (which was the goal).

We used Fotio for our wedding at Salvage One in September 2018. Working with Nick was a breeze--communication was excellent. The pictures turned out great! One of the best choices that we made for our wedding was to use Fotio as for our photo booth. From the beginning, we knew that we wanted a photo booth with classy photos that people would want to reuse after the wedding. Fotio provided just that.

The best service ever! I just love this concept. A great activity to provide at events. Rachel was our assigned photographer and such a fun person to work with. Her photographs were outstanding. From the time you request the quote to the end of your event, the customer service from all of the staff is outstanding. I'm so glad the venue management recommended Fotio. My wife and I attended an event for an organization I volunteer for where we were introduced to Fotio. Everyone looked so slick in crisp black and white and I honestly don't want to remember that event, or the same event a year later, in anything but black and white. Our first interaction with Fotio was enough for us to book them for our wedding as one of our first no questions asked vendors. Anytime an event has Fotio there I know it's going to be a good night. It's a great opportunity to get your newest Yelp/Facebook/Instagram profile photo!
Their camera looks like a vintage tripod that will flash you blind, but instead it has incredible quality with a black and white filter that illuminates you! Also, their props are always fun.

Love love love Fotio! After seeing them around the city, we had to have them at our November wedding. Nick was super easy to work with and asked all the right questions of our venue coordinator. Day of, Hailey set up inconspicuously during dinner and people were so stoked to get started. She interacted well with everyone and gave great pose ideas. YOU CANNOT TAKE A BAD PHOTO WITH FOTIO. My wife and I were introduced to fotio at a wedding a few years ago and left such a good impression so we had to have them at our wedding this year. It was a huge hit and everyone loved it! It was such a fun activity to have at our wedding, especially for non-dancers. There's a screen behind the camera displaying a slideshow of all the pictures throughout the night so everyone had a good time gathering around that.
I'd also recommend spending a little more on the props because those were priceless.

I hired them for a showroom party (Studio54 themed), and they were SO easy to work with, the set-up was beautiful (their camera has a vintage design to it, and just looks so adorable), the props were fun, Rachel (the photographer on site) was EXCELLENT, worked incredibly hard, and catered to our last minute needs, and the pictures themselves are just BEAUTIFUL! Nick from Fotio was on the scene for our wedding at The Joinery in May of 2018. We requested that we not use any props and just focus on the people during our 3-4 hour event.

I used Fotio for my wedding this month and could not be happier!! The pictures are amazing, and our guests had so much fun in front of the camera. Here are my favorite things:
1. We had over 100 pictures to look at the day after our wedding. It was so nice to share them with guests and relive the night while we wait for professional photos!

Where do I even begin!? If you're looking for a unique photo booth option, THIS IS IT. We found Nick and Fotio at the PAWS Furball event last November and were toying with the idea of having a photo booth at our wedding. After seeing the quality of the images taken of us the next day, we knew it'd fit perfectly with our old Chicago theme and venue.

Fotio was at our wedding and they were a huge hit! Guests of all ages got in on the fun and used the props and took photos. Erik manned the station and really engaged with our guests and made them laugh. We have wonderful momentos of the day and I am so glad Fotio was a part of the celebration. I will also say that Nick came to our final walk through to scope out the space to make sure the camera was in the best place possible for our guests. Highly recommend!

My husband and I decided to have Fotio at our wedding in June and it was hands down one of the best decisions we made! Our wedding was at The Garfield Park Conservatory and the props were safari themed. It was so fun! Rachel was amazing and was so good at getting people to hop in. I will most certainly hire them again. We got the photos really quickly, too!

I just attended my brother-in-law's wedding and they had a Fotio photo booth. It was thee most fun! Everyone had a blast and now we have tons of photo memories. The photo booth was open all night and of course the more drunk you become, the more you want to pose with your friends--instant model material.
