I am in town visiting a family member in the hospital and found this place, which looked promising. I didn't really know what the hot bar was all about so I just ordered some grilled fish and two sides with a drink. I went to pay and it was $18.95 for a single piece of fish, green beans and sweet potatoes. Crazy!! I couldn't even eat the fish and green beans - the beans were basically unseasoned, soggy and gross and the fish was dry, over spiced and not tasty. I'm not even a picky eater but the food was horrible and I wasted nearly $20. I'm sure if I got something else like

Picked up a chicken divan casserole for dinner. I've had the steaks and they are awesome. The casserole was flavored nicely but, unfortunately, after cooking the suggested time; it was mushy with no trace of a broccoli floret or cheddar cheese. It did, however, had a ton of bread crumbs. For $30, Id be embarrassed to take this to a funeral dinner. Lesson learned, stick with the filet and wine.

Called 8 stores in the area looking for a specific bottle of wine. Talked to Laura who was extremely helpful and helped me shop over the phone while recommending local favorites. Excellent selection of craft beer, too. However, check the dates. I've found a lot of beers here that were over a year past their expiration date.

I tried this restaurant based on the reviews and am SO glad I did. There was a long, but quick moving line that maneuvered a cafeteria-style setup. I had a fried PTK chop and REAL mashed potatoes and gravy. The servings are generous and the food is delicious. Don't be intimidated by all of the people... they move them through quickly and it is well worth the few minutes wait.

Over the years, this local favorite has become a personal favorite for me. It's in a wonderful location, perfect for walking to other nearby stores. The staff is wonderful and very helpful every time I visit, and the food is outstanding. Whether it's my dish or a taste from someone else's, it all tastes amazing. I can confidently say that I have never been disappointed once by Filet and Vine.

Came here w high expectations! Parked, arrived and stood in line to eat. The staff was very nice. We decided on a bahn mi. Ummmm, I have to be honest it was a over vinegarry mess. The pork was okay, and the bread okay too but nothing else in the sandwich seemed like a bahn mi to me and I have eaten plenty. The onion rings were okay, corn bread nice, and the Mac and cheese was pretty good. All and all, not amazing.

This place never disappoints! Great tasing, FRESH, homemade, cheap (price wise) food! I have never been let down by Filet & Vine. We always eat here for lunch work gatherings. Get here early for seating & parking though it can get a little crowded. The atmosphere is nice, if you need to pick up a few grocery items, craft beer, wine, or dessert before or after you eat you can because it's also a store. Very unique!

This is a very popular locally owned place for lunch for workers from the Downtown area and Cloverdale. Parking is tight in this area so get there around 11:30 if you want to get a spot near the building. The restaurant offers a meat and three selection from a cafeteria-like service line as well as hot and cold sandwiches. There are usually about 4 or 5 meat selections to choose from and at least a dozen sides, all large, homemade and very, very good. The line moves quickly and the service is friendly. The sandwiches are very good also, and they have a wide assortment of baked goods from a nearby

The food here was amaaaaazing and I enjoyed everything on my plate.
Now let's talk service. THIS PLACE had the kind of service I was expecting coming to "the south." Our group had been fortunate enough to be proven wrong for most of our trip. Until we ended up here.
Myself, two other Black folks and another PoC member of our party were the only PoC eating there the day we went. So I guess you could say it came as no surprise to me that after we ordered, the white woman who was politely checking in with every table seemed to skip over us MULTIPLE times. I'm pretty sure that

I was in this area earlier today after leaving an interview and I really wanted to eat some healthier options. So I came across this place searching on yelp and decided to try it out.
They have so many options to choose from! They have burgers, philly cheese steaks, soup and salad bar and aa hot bar with meat snd 3 options! This place also sells bottled wine, beers and a few small grocery items.
I ordered the Chicken Piccata with marinara sauce, broccoli with cheese snd squash casserole. Overall my meal wasn't bad, it was just ok. I was so hungry I ate every bit of my food, lol. I&apos

We were in Montgomery for a training at the Hospital, and needed a close/quick place to eat. Most folks were going to fast food restaurants, but a colleague consulted a friend from the area who suggested Filet and Vine!
We arrived at the peak of lunchtime, thankfully found a close parking spot, and wandered in. This place was hugeeee!!! And the hot bar options were amazing with so many options! The salad bar (from what I saw) was also quite extensive. These sorts of places are great for large groups, to ensure everyone can find something to eat. My steak was excellent, as was the squash casserole

I came here at lunchtime to shop for beer to compliment a meal I was making later that evening. Yes, I came here at lunch, but not for lunch. Let that be a warning to anyone who would be in my situation.
I knew this place was popular for lunch, but unfortunately the lunch set-up limits one's ability to shop for beer or wine, which is pretty annoying. First, only part of the beer selection was accessible as an entire aisle of beer shelving was also lined with tables of people eating their lunch, so I wasn't really able to see what was on those shelves without disturbing people, which

Filet and Vine is a diamond in the rough! I've been here numerous times this summer and I'll surely miss it as I venture my way back home to Colorado. Filet and Vine is essentially a pretty awesome deli/bakery/liquor store/winery/southern buffet. Yes, all of those things in one.
More often then not I end up ordering the bahn mi because let's be honest, it's freakin amazing. Essentially it's a grilled pork sandwich with a delicious slaw, pickle, and aoli that bring it all together. The ingredients are like a party in your mouth. It's so good I've found myself
