We were thrown out in the middle of the night. We were only there a week when I suddenly lost my apartment I had also been diagnosed with a brain tumor and would need somewhere to recover. The owner banged on the door in the middle of the night claiming that we are using his address as our own personal address which we were not... Stayed here one night just passing through, The beds were comfortable, but the place is outdated. The really bad side of it is, I woke up the next morning itching and scratching. I started getting these bumps all over my body. They were painful and itchy. the day after that, they started blistering. Yes, they were bed bug bits and a lot of them too and I am very allergic . I do not recommend staying here. I love to patronize small businesses, but they have to do something to keep you coming back. This is one place I will never revisit. Beyond excellent service, incredibly affordable, extremely friendly, honestly the owners and staff were lifesavers plus the room, bed and shower were amazing! Long story short I was from out of town, vehicle died on me, stranded with no where to go in the middle of a very cold night, the staff at the time really went out of their way to help me out and accommodate me. On top of all that my room was extremely clean and warm, my bed was super comfortable and the shower was the best I've ever used in any hotel I've ever stayed in! I would highly recommend and would definitely (and probably will) stay

This place was amazing MJ and Ralphie were always friendly and helpful. Went from staying in a regular hotel room to staying in an efficiency apartment that had everything included water, trash, cable, internet, power at an affordable weekly or monthly price I highly recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely always come back here.

Stayed here this past weekend and found it to be very comfortable and just what we needed for a reasonable price. They are doing some renovations to update the place and so far everything looks great! My one suggestion would be some blackout curtains as the rooms are pretty bright early in the morning even with the blinds and curtains closed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

It wasn't the fanciest motel that I've ever stayed at, but it was definitely no where near the worst. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to us and very friendly, had a cute and friendly puppy also. You can definitely tell they are going through renovations to make the place better and seems to be doing a good job, still some wear and tear on the rooms: such as the doors seemed a little old and beaten, only complaint I felt is that the door to the room felt kinda flimsy and didn't even have a chain lock. Trying to be positive when faced with overwhelming challenges is truly a test of one's character. That is the conundrum The James Motel poses to its guests. The proprietor is obviously trying to clean it up. New bed skirts, flat screen TV.....good cable package. It is really a struggle to come up with anything else positive. The rooms are pretty dingy. A fresh looking coat of paint does not hide all. Several insects- both living and dead were the first clue. It is as if the physical structue of the hotel is fighing a battle with the ever-encroaching natural world. It is a battle the hotel
