Michael earned his B.A. degree in 2002 from the University of Vermont where he studied Studio Art and Art History. From 2004-2005, he attended The New England School of Photography in Boston, where he graduated with honors in both Advertising and Fashion Photography.

We recently worked on a stop-motion animation with Michael in his studio, and couldn't have had a better experience. He was well-equipped, flexible, and offered valuable creative insights during our process. We were very pleased with the photography at the end of the day. The photography that Michael Heeney captures is incredible. He has an eye for color, shape, contour, and light. I am lucky enough to have one of his prints on my wall. The composition of light, color, and contrast takes my breath away every time I look at it. He is also wonderful to work with! Extremely professional, creative, and a great laid-back composure.
