Our staff is experienced in a wide range of water, wastewater, drainage, subdivision design and transportation engineering projects, as well as structural inspection and design. The employees of Townsend Engineering work together in coordinating all projects.
The civil engineering team prepares, designs, and confers with the DNR and/or the DOT on design requirements, solicits all necessary environmental and archeological clearances, prepares plans and specifications for competitive bidding of the project and provides construction inspection and testing throughout the construction process.

Started in 2003 by Chris Townsend, CT Engineering Inc, DBA: Townsend Engineering, is a consulting firm performing predominantly civil and structural engineering for residential, commercial, and industrial projects in eastern & central Iowa, and western Illinois. As a smaller firm, with over 75 years of combined experience, Townsend Engineering is able to provide a more personal touch to projects.
