Stan Gelber & Sons installed two 4 ton Bryant compressors/condensers and two Carrier air handlers last Monday and Tuesday. Their workers were great and did very neat work. They also replaced items I didn't know they would replace, without any extra charge. They gave me new electric boxes and cables, a new water evacuation pump, replaced the water evacuation line because they found it was leaking, and installed valves on the hot water pipes going in and out of the hot water coil. The original installation didn't have valves on the hot water pipes.

I recently had a new tankless gas heating system installed in my home, replacing an oil system that was 67 years old. The entire team at Stan Gelber was terrific to work with…professional, courteous, and very experienced. They office staff walked me through every phase of the project, from the paperwork, permits, installation, and clean-up. A special shout out the the installation crew who were respectful, pleasant and hard working. The entire process was seamless. Whole-house unit went out on a Sunday during a heat wave and was not an existing customer. Called up and although they were swamped with current customer repairs, they were able to squeeze me in within a few days for a service call.
Communication is key for me, and the company was upfront with what costs may entail, what the timing would be, and sent emails confirming the time that the service folks would be coming to perform the repair. Part came in very quickly and was installed the next day. Cannot recommend enough.

Central Air conditioning was not working yesterday. We called Gielber on Friday afternoon and they sent a mechanic over the same day. He indicated that the motor needed to be replaced . I told the office that I have health issues and would appreciate an urgent response. Today is Saturday. A mechanic was here at 1 and the unit is now working. It's 3:00.

I can’t say enough about how great the staff was. Our AC was down and they were booked. Once the service representative heard that we have a 3 week old baby, she made sure that someone was able to get to our house that day. I wish I could remember her name (she just had a grandchild on May 5th), she was wonderful.
The technician, Marco was equally great. He was able to determine the issue and explained everything in detail that was easy to understand. Not to mention he got it up and running very quickly.
Looking forward to working with them in the future.

I just had 6 ductless units installed. I will be using them for cooling so I can’t comment on the units as of yet. I would like to comment on the installers. I have never had a nicer group of men working in my home. They were very polite, professional, considerate and clean about the work they were doing. They explained the equipment before they left, I can only assume they are happy with the company they work for. Thank you Gelber family for having the best employees.

If you're looking to do ductless units in your house and come across this review, go with another company. The guy who came out was a very nice guy but he gave me a long list of "we don't do that".
If you're the company and reading this, you really need to broaden the service you offer for ductless unit. You won't do a hyper heat installation (a $20K job) because it involves a branch box? Come on, step your game up.

Jordan to the rescue! We purchased our first central air unit in 2004 from Stan Gelber & Sons, had a very positive experience with Brian and we didn’t forget it. Well fast forward 16 years later our unit was on borrowed time. Jordan came to our house and we were happy to be a second time customer. A few days later our central air stopped working 😂.… Jordan sent a technician over but the Motor died (it must of heard we were replacing it). This company did not do a manual j calculation and as a result very over sized units. I got a 12,000 BTU ductless mini split system (1 ton) for a room that is only 150 square feet. I have another room across the hall with the same footage and I got the same unit from them. So basically I got 2 tons for 300-350 or so square feet.
I had a few issues as a result and some of them not resolved. They were supposed to call carrier about changing the offset temperature to help but I never heard anything

Follow-up: I had a local company here 15 minutes after Gelber and Sons left (same day service unheard of). They serviced my "self" installed unit. They had it up and running for $300 fee and in less than hour without replacing any factory connections! Very pleased with the new company. I will be recommending them.

Great service! We used them 9 years ago for the installation of central air and they were very professional and price was reasonable. Just had them back for a service call and same awesome service. We need our capacitor replaced and the tech was on time, very nice to work with and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Checked out the whole system and made sure our air was back up and running!! Getting central air really was the best investment we have made in our home - only wish we had done it sooner. The company came recommended by friends. I still obtained quotes from three or four different companies and Gelber pricing was right on target and actually… slightly cheaper than the others. I cannot begin to thank Stanley Gelber & Sons for coming to my rescue again. My hot water heater stopped working. Another company said it could not be fixed and quoted me $4800 for a conventional tank and $12,000 for on demand tanks. Stanley Gelber and sons, employees William and Juan came to my house immediately, resolved the problem in less than 30 minutes and for a couple of hundred $$. This is a honest company who really cares about their customers. There is none better!

We were doing renovation on our house and wanted to put in central air. I was told to contact Stan Gelber and Sons by a friend that uses them. They came out, went over options and they figured out it was going to be too expensive to put in a new central air. They recommended ductless units. We decided to go with that for air and primary heat. Their crew came to install early on the morning we were scheduled. They werr friendly, efficient and cleaned as they went. At my wife's insurance, they made sure all the outside piping was kept as close to the molding and base of the house as possible
