Growing up in the Midwest has had a profound influence on who I am as an individual and professional. I was raised in Kenosha, WI. Unlike many, I feel genuinely lucky to have grown up in the town that is all too often shadowed by its neighbors to the north and south. Today, I'm very grateful I can call Kenosha, Milwaukee and Chicago my home.
We know that life happens when you've already made plans - but we ask for at least 24 hour's notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This will allow us the opportunity to make last-minute time available to other valued guests and ensure our team members' time is valued. If you are unable to provide this notice, you will be charged 50 percent of the cost of your scheduled services.

Cheyenne is the best! She's great and my hair turns out amazing every time. She's also honest and real, so if I'm on the fence about a certain style she lets me know if she thinks it'll look good or not plus she's let's me know what to expect and whether or not a certain color is achievable. She's my go to, and will be for the remainder of my time in Milwaukee. ALSO she knows how to work on curly hair!!!

I’m so happy I’ve found a place that I can keep coming back to. Parker is my hair stylist and he’s the best. I’m always so happy with my hair and he highlights and tones it in a way that I don’t have to keep coming back super often.
The prices are a bit high but I’m not use to high quality salons like this and it’s definitely worth it

What I love most about this salon is how my stylist Amy makes me feel when I am getting my hair done. I always feel like I am the most important client she has! In addition, she asks me every time what is working with my hair and what is not. Then she gives me options for what service she can provide that day to address any issues. I always leave feeling confident and beautiful.

This was my first visit - Absolutely amazing. I had a picture of what I had in mind, but Jennifer did it even better than I imagined. She was so warm and inviting, easy to talk to and clearly loves what she does. Incredibly talented. I’ve never had a haircut that I’ve loved, let alone liked this much! Will continue to refer to this salon and plan to go back myself.

I had tried Scott Free based on a personal referral. My friend never tried the salon but knew the owner. The consult was thorough with Parker and I was specific about my style. His cut was not even near what I had asked for. It was difficult to style and took way too much time. For the price (90.00) for a short hair cut, way way too pricey. I did call and cancel my next appointment and explained to the hostess what my concerns were. She apologized and said she would tell the owner and someone would call me. No one called. I waited before I posted this review, but after a few weeks it’s clear

Having moved to Milwaukee from Brooklyn,I struggled to find a hair salon that fed my soul--sounds weird, I know, but I needed a place that was aesthetically pleasing and delivered edgy results. Needless to say when I found Scottfree Salon my search was over.
First, the space itself is amazingly unique. Second, the people who work there, especially Calla, are these artistic geniuses who will blow you away--not only with a hairdryer--but with a finished result you cannot achieve anywhere else in this city.

Scottfree Salon is the best salon I've been to. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect before I came in for my first appointment several years ago, but what I have come to know is consistently friendly, professional and excellent service.
My stylist, Emily, has come to memorize and perfect my hairstyle after the numerous times I've been in. She is an excellent stylist, and for the price, she should be. An absolute FABULOUS experience here for my wedding hair and makeup! Believe me, I did a LOT of research on hair and makeup artists, so trust me when I tell you to trust the great reviews, do not hesitate and book now, brides! The whole experience was great, and this was absolutely the easiest part of my wedding to plan/book. All the staff was wonderful, and their location gorgeous too.

This is the salon for your wedding day! We had a private room for mimosas and breakfast and the stylists did AMAZING work with the bridal party! Elle gave me a gorgeous bridal updo!! Cheyenne did my airbrush make-up which lasted all day (July wedding with rain and humidity)! One of the best choices we made for our wedding!! Thank you!

I've been going to Annalise for over a year, and she is just phenomenal. I've ever had a hair stylist that is so inviting, and professional; while still being relatable and easy to talk to. She's very good at her job, and I am very picky so that's saying a lot. The atmosphere is also fantastic. It has a really high end salon feel, and gives you a sense of professionalism right from the start. ALSO VALET!!!

Had a hair cut with Jennifer.
My hair is very difficult because it's curly- so I specifically requested a stylists that works with natural curly hair. This is exacerbated by the fact that I like my hair short. Curly short cut it seems is a very difficult request for most stylists, usually gets butchered.
I asked for *even* bob- got a bowl cut. It was definitely longer in the back, and shorter in the front. This usually happens when stylists cut my hair wet, because it ends up curling more in the front, giving the illusion of shorter hair in the front. So, I would not recommend Jennifer

Since I am not from Milwaukee, this is my go to salon. I've never had a hard time scheduling an appointment and the receptionist, Kyle, is always super friendly and accommodating. The salon itself has a very nice layout, although, it's not very big so it can feel a tad crammed. I've typically seen Calla for both hair and makeup and really enjoy her as a person and stylist. However, I know almost all the stylists here are very talented. I once had my makeup done by Dani and it was absolutely flawless. I was amazed at her work. I was driving down the road headed into Milwaukee, excited because I'd never been, and needed my hair done immediately if not sooner. They were super nice when I called and got me in when I wanted which I loved. They are also, you guessed it, a Kerastase salon. Yass!

Unfortunately, after some consideration, I've decided to update my review. I came here, as usual, for a cut and blow dry. The stylist mentioned that my hair color, in spite of having not been colored in a loooong time, looked as though it was growing out. She offered to apply a gloss, which I've had before, and I said, why not. Applied the color, gave me a cut and dry (which looked fine) and sent me on my way.

Saturday: got a bad haircut - stylist did a dry cut after flat-ironing my wavy thick hair.
Sunday: called and asked if there was someone who could fix my bad haircut.
Monday: got a call back apologizing and scheduling me with Parker, who was definitely going to fix this mess.
Today: had an OVER TWO HOUR experience with Parker, who... yes... you guessed it. Flat-ironed my hair and did the same dry cut. Now I have even more layers and look like a bad version of the Rachel cut from the 90's. I cannot describe how frustrating it is to emerge from an experience where I felt pressured

I tried Scottfree Salon because I won a gift certificate at a Silent Auction. I went for a cut and highlight and was so disappointed. I showed the stylist a picture of a cut that had a slight A line that got longer towards the front. I realize my hair will not look like a picture of a celebrity, but this was so far off and just terrible. What the stylist did was not gradual at all, shorter than I wanted, and the top layers were cut longer than the ones underneath. When I got home I immediately texted my normal stylist at Feather Hair Studio and asked if she could get me in the next morning to fix

Excellent high end hair salon, prices are reasonable for the level of expertise involved. You can afford it if you resist buying any product. It's in an interesting space, and a supportive friend gets treated to decent coffee. Expect a month or so ahead of time to find an opening for a specific stylist, but for first time customers Kyle at reception will work you in. Email requests via YELP are responded to with frightening alacrity. Parking is problematic.

I have been coming to this salon for years, it's the only place I trust. I absolutely love Krystal, she's the best. One of the hinge I value is some who listens and does exactly what you ask for. Krystal has always taken time to make sure I'm happy with their haircut.
