Services
At Southwest Health System, we offer advanced acute care services for our valued patients in hospitals equipped with the latest technology and staffed by leaders in the medical field. Southwest Health System has numerous hospitals in the state of Mississippi, serving clients throughout the McComb and Monticello area as well as other communities in Southwest Mississippi and bordering Eastern Louisiana communities.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) at SMRMC is staffed by skilled professionals to meet your every need when you come to the hospital for ambulatory or same day surgery. The ASC is connected to SMRMC and the entrance is located at 215 Marion Avenue and occupies 11,539 Square feet on the Ground floor of the Medical Center.
We take care of people, not patients. You have somebody's grandfather who now can take his grandson on a tractor ride around the farm. You have a pastor who can go back to church and give his Sunday sermon without chest pains every five minutes. The Cardiovascular Institute is the premier heart hospital in the state of Mississippi.
The Digestive Diseases Center at Southwest Health System is a specialty care unit that is devoted entirely to diagnosing and treating all disorders and conditions that affect the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Our board-certified gastroenterologists are world-class medical practitioners with years of experience who have been extensively trained in GI tract disorders.
Our goal at Southwest Health System is to provide the best quality of healthcare for our patients and the residents of our community. We believe in the importance of our work and we strive to demonstrate that commitment through our endeavors. Our hospitals have won numerous awards for the quality of our care.

January 31, 2022...my procedure went without any issues or concerns, the nurses, ladies were outstanding because I was not expecting the kind of preparation required for the procedure on the third floor. I was made comfortable, treated with respect and the whole staff were professionals, and most of all nurturing and friendly!! Thank you!!!

They seem to not know what is going on. First trip, noone could find where my appointment was. They sent me between buildings. Usually not a problem but I'm on a walker. They sent me home only to call 2 hours later to say they found the apartment. Rescheduled appointment, they had notice, but was running an hour + behind. This place is sssdlllllllloooooowwwwww.

Rudest staff that I have ever seen. The nurses lie and do not have any type of compassion for patients and show no empathy toward family members who have family members there in the ICU. It is clear they are only in nursing for a paycheck. I have worked in healthcare and in hospitals and have never seen anything like this place.

I live near Memphis and our hospitals here are amazing. I was stunned when my daughter had her 3rd child in McComb. Absolutely STUNNED. The staff was rude. The nurses were condescending. I can’t think of one single thing about the 3 day experience that was remotely positive. It was as though they felt they were doing us a favor by gracing us with their subpar service. I’ve lived in many places in the US but never have I had an experience with a hospital as bad as this one. If I could give it zero stars I would. Avoid this place at all cost if possible.

6 LONG HOURS TO DIAGNOSE A MIGRAINE???
I just want to say, I went in around 3:00pm on a Saturday, they were very quick in getting me in the back and getting me a room. However, I sat in the room for hours at a time and was never once checked on by anyone! Except for one nurse, she was very sweet, explained everything to me, and actually listened to my questions. With that being said, I went in with dizziness, nausea, passing out multiple times, losing feeling in my feet, face, and tips of my fingers, also constantly shaking. Not because I was cold, but because for some reason my body could not
