We currently do not have a way to redeem gift cards on this website, these gift cards are physical cards that are intended for in-store use at our retail shop in Salida. Black tea is produced in the same way as green tea with a few exceptions. During the rolling process the membranes of the leaves are broken, allowing the leaves to oxidize (ferment) giving them their dark color. To stop oxidation, the leaves are then fired, preserving the desired flavor and aroma. Black tea does have some medicinal qualities, though not as wide ranging and powerful as those of green tea.

All of our chai blends are made in-house and are formulated by tea mixologist Mac Rebant and certified clinical herbalist Lindsay Lund. By far one of our most popular teas, Shavano Spice is the original chai made here at Vital Living. We've taken it further and have added rooibos, green tea, and yerba mate to the original spice mixture for other yummy chai's to enjoy!

White tea is the uncured and unoxidized tea leaf. Like green, oolong, puerh, and black tea, white tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant. Only the buds and young leaves covered in short white hairs are used. To produce white tea only two steps are taken: steaming and drying. The leaves are unaltered because they are not withered in the sun, rolled, or oxidized as are most other teas.
