Performed with Reflex Technology from Ellex, Laser Floater Treatment or LFT is a minimally invasive procedure that can significantly improve a patient's perception of their everyday visual functionality and provide them with much-needed relief from eye floaters. The technique fills the treatment gap for patients whose symptoms and risk profile does not warrant treatment with vitrectomy.
Laser Floater Treatment can also delay or obviate the need for surgery. The goal of vitreolysis is to achieve a "functional improvement." That is, to allow you to return to "normal" day-to-day activities without the hindrance of floaters. An intraocular lens (IOL) is the artificial lens surgeons implant to replace the eye's crystalline lens that must be removed once it becomes cloudy. The main job of the IOL is to focus light onto the back of the eye (or retina), (retina: the transmitter located at the back of your eye that sends the images to your brain) just as a natural, healthy eye lens would.

The main reason for a patient to receive a refractive lensectomy is to reduce their reliance on glasses or contacts. Refractive Lensectomy, rather than trying to reshape the cornea, actually replaces the lens with an artificial lens. Using the same technology that you would find being used in a modern cataract extraction, it is a relatively common procedure and is considered outpatient surgery.

Doctors are excellent, very happy with their treatment. However the staff could use a class in customer relations. Unbelievable they either don't make follow up appointments or don't tell you they scheduled one. They scheduled 2 appointments for me, but failed to tell me.
On my way to the hospital for my second surgery when it was canceled.
When I called to reschedule because the hospital canceled my surgery not me, the uncaring rude scheduler at Alpine informed me I would have to wait 6 weeks for my 2nd surgery(already waited 4 weeks) so a total of 10 weeks between surgeries.
The worst part

I thought the receptionist on duty in the Grayling Alpine Eyecare office today was rude and arrogant and will not be going back after dealing with her. I took the day off and drove 45 min to my appointment today. I saw the Dr. but then was told I was to see one of his staff to make an appointment for cataract surgery. I waited for her in the waiting room but I had to cough because I have Sorgrens Syndrome and it's a no no to cough with other people in the room during Covid,, so I went to the lobby just outside the office door. When I came back in I was told the assistant came out to the waiting
