I had been using Rick's for decades. They seemed honest, although I thought they charged a lot, and sometimes they would throw up their hands over a problem and charge me anyway.

Instead I went to a different mechanic, who figured out the problem in about two minutes and charged me less for replacing the critical part (intake manifold runner solenoid/vacuum switch) than Rick's had charged for doing not much. We have going to Rick’s Chevron on and off for years. We usually dealer service our under-warranty cars as a matter of course and use independent shops when we have non-warranty vehicles. Rick’s is straightforward to deal with, has fair pricing and is the quintessential corner gas station garage. The fact that we can pick our car up after the garage closes from the gas station staff is a huge help as well. Clear explanations , not a lot of fluff or hard sell and local makes this place a great choice.

Went in to pay and had the gaul to ask about a coupon..seems there is small print on each one of them that voids them. The lady behind the counter could not have been more rude. Evidently "you guys" have been complaining about the bad coupons for a while because she got upset and lost it. Could not get put of there fast enough. Maybe next time I have a repair i will find another mechanic.

I went there due to they offered a very reasonable synthetic oil change and they were close to my home.
I was very impressed with Mike Wells for his customer service towards me and my dog.
I was so happy with everything they provided! It was beyond my expectation.
It's so great to have a mechanic close by;
the good ones are hard to find.

I've been going to Rick's for four years now. They always take good car of my car and I trust them to let me know what services are truly needed, and when. So far so good. I've taken my 2007 Prius there for repairs twice. The first time I bought 4 new tires. They seem to be good quality and the price was fair. One of the mechanics explained to me about the difference in tires which I appreciated. Thankfully they caught a serious and possibly need for repair was the struts. Believe me I knew nothing about struts. I was shown a photo of mine bth front and rear. One was almost entirely worn down. They provide stability especially when one has to swerve like on a freeway going 60 or more MPH. Previously I had taken my car to a Toyota dealership

The mechanics at Rick's have been taking care of my succession of "vintage" Subarus for 25+ years. They have always been clear, communicative, and honest with me, and are motivated to keep loyal customers coming back. They often under-bill me for simple fixes, and they're happy to recommend local specialists when it's more cost-effective for the customer.
Today when I went in to have a burned-out headlight replaced, they charged me for only one unit of labor rather than the four units recommended in their billing system. And they checked my oil -- which, it turned out

I wouldn't trust this place with an oil change or anything else. The advertised gas prices are for cash only, and the sign stating its a cash price is hidden and not illuminated. You end up paying more per gallon than you think they will. It cost me an extra $1.35, but my objection is to the principle.
When I asked the woman inside, because I thought I might have just picked the wrong gas. I was told she "hears this question 1000 times a day and y'all need to learn how read." Minimum wage is still much too generous for this

12/12/13 Saw the signs for regular unleaded was $3.359 per gallon and stop in only to see at the pump it cost $3.459...like this has happened before. I get tired of their righteous attitude inside so I think today I'll just go down to the Chevron on Northgate Way across from the McDonald's and next to the I-5 on/off ramps and save enough money that I can run my car into the car wash practically for free with my savings. Historically it's like twenty cents cheaper there and you get charged what the big sign says, not what Rick's wants you to think they're selling it for

These guys are great.
I've had quite a bit of work done here on my 1997 Honda Civic, from getting the axles fixed, to a muffler, to the timing belt/water pump plus a few oil changes.
They always gave me an accurate quote for the work, called me right away when it was done, and didn't make me feel like they were gonna rip me off just cuz I was a girl. (one of my biggest concerns when getting work done on my car)
On top of it, they are right across the street from me, so I can drop my car off and pick it up when it's done at my own leisure! It's so great to have a reliable
