For more than 40 years, Providence Medical Center (PMC) has been recognized as a leader in providing extraordinary rural healthcare to individuals in Northeast Nebraska. Located in Wayne, NE the Medical Center offers 21 spacious patient rooms, including 2 OB suites, 2 critical care rooms, and 1 hospice family room.
The Medical Center also offers over 20 unique specialty physician services through the Outpatient Clinic and performs 14,000 procedures annually utilizing Providence's laboratory, imaging, and surgical services. In addition to these services, PMC is home to several highly specialized behavior health, rehabilitation therapy, and wellness programs.

We offer advanced care and patient-centered solutions for diseases of the digestive system. Our team works together to provide comprehensive care for the full spectrum of ear, nose, and throat disorders. We support your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, wherever you and your loved ones need it.
Telehealth is the use of electronic information and telecommunication technologies to provide care when you and the doctor aren't in the same place at the same time. If you have a phone or device with internet access, you may be able to talk to your provider over the phone or video chat. Here at Providence Medical Center, we have several telehealth options for you.
At Providence Medical Center, we want to be a resource for you and your family. Our team of financial counselors are here to help. We encourage you to speak to a member of our team at any time - before, during or after care is received. If you cannot pay your bill, Providence Medical Center (PMC) has a Financial Assistance Policy that might be able to help if you qualify.
Social Services/Discharge Planning is offered to patients that are admitted to the hospital or have needs during their visits to our hospital. SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program) Counselors available to help you with your Medicare questions. Our staff works closely with your provider and healthcare team to make sure you and your families needs are met before you go home from the hospital.
At Providence Medical Center, our pharmacy department is a vital part of the healthcare team. We provide medication management 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for our patients. We also provide medication teaching, sterile and chemotherapy compounding, medication histories and reconciliation, pharmacokinetic dosing, vaccines and specialty injections i.e.

I have been using Providence Medical Centers services for the past seven years and it has been wonderful. They are very professional and treat you like family there. The doctors and nurses really care, which is refreshing and it is nice knowing they will be there when you really need them. From having my babies, having surgeries, my family and I will continue to use them for years to come.

Ended up in the Emergency Room while unloading our u-haul from moving to the area. The physician and nurses were wonderful. Very professional and focused on giving good quality care. They made sure they got my pain under control while waiting on test results and I didn't leave until they knew it was at an acceptable level for me to be comfortable. Excellent job!

I normally don’t care to do reviews on medical visits however, today I got my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Providence Medical Center. The people who were there to greet you and help you along with a stressful and anxious situation were so helpful. They put me at ease with their kindness. I want to sincerely thank the nurses for their genuine kindness to everyone there today to get the Covid -19 vaccine. They deserve a raise! 😁

You couldn't pay me to make a return visit to this "hospital". I've never felt so insulted from a resident and medical staff. If I had to make a choice between going to this ER for help or dying, I'd choose death. Cause at least death takes you serious and knows what it's talking about. And if that sounds too dramatic..its only because it is. I'm clearly still pretty friggin upset.
