Our family recently bought the Eugene Livestock Auction with the hopes of keeping it a great place to socialize and enjoy the experience of buying and selling livestock. Leon was born and raised in the Halsey area and has lived there for the majority of his life. He grew up going to the Eugene Livestock Auction and eventually went to Western College of Auctioneering in 2014 to pursue his love of auctioneering.

Staff at this auction were friendly and helpful. I had an impulse purchase that didn't want to get into the trailer. They helped us get her in and was good with her. Every horse purchased comes with a halter and lead rope. She had to stay a couple days there and was well taken care of. On a side note, kudos to them for not running an unfit horse through the auction and helping in getting her help.

Super disrespectful for a small misunderstanding!!! Staff is extremely RUDE! Definitely not nice to the animals either!! Never going here again and it’s sad I’ve been coming here since I was a kid on and off, I also bring my kids…we’ll not anymore that’s for sure!!
Should never tolerate that much disrespect from ANYBODY!!! Also NOBODY WAS WEARING MASKS!! Super sketchy

A stray horse showed up at my barn. When I called the Eugene Auction yard, they told me that the blue numbers on the horse's hips meant it went through one of their sales. They offered to look up the buyer. That information facilitated a quick return to the owner. Thanks go to the staff at the Eugene Auction.

I cant speak for the horse sale part but i will speak for the tack sale part as a seller. They say its 25% commission on your tack. Ok i get that. Im ok with that BUT that is far from true. If your item sells for $5 you get nothing. They keep the money. Thats 100% commission! If your item sells for $10 you only get $5. Thats 50% commission. If your item sells for $12.50 you get $7.50. Thats 40% commission. They deducted 48% commission from my tack that i had consigned. Also I specifically said that a box of misc tack was to be ONE item but they took it upon themselves to divide it all up into single

I visited the livestock auction on February 13th. NONE of the staff wore a mask and they were extremely rude.
The sold horses were kept in small pens without cover from the rain. The horses were soaking wet and looked miserable.
If you are a seller and feel that is acceptable treatment of an animal, then you shouldn’t be allowed to own any.

I can’t thank this crew enough. I recently sold two horses through them as I did not want to deal with the general public. With their marketing and customer base I received twice the amount for them I would have asked for privately. If you have a horse for sale you should definitely check them out. Their sales commission was very reasonable. Thank you

We attended the auction last Friday during the COVID pandemic to view horses. We returned the next day to pick up a horse we purchased. Both days absolutely NO one except us were wearing masks or even attempting to social distance. Not one staff member was wearing a mask, including the people in the office, where people were crowded I got in. There was a half torn sign on the door saying “by State law masks were required”. I guess this is their attempted at a sick sense humor. If you value your health and the safety of your loved ones, don’t attended the Eugene Livestock Auction. It is SUPER
