My family rented a pontoon from here and from start to find, the gentlemen who helped us get underway were excellent. Jake I’m particular made sure to go over all the mechanics before we launched. He and his partner also helped us get our stuff onto the boat. When we were ready to return to shore, Jake was already there at the launchpad waiting for us to dock. He guided me into dock for the boat to be returned. If you’re in Empire, MI and want to rent a boat, Glen Lake Marine is the place to go.

Great experience renting a pontoon with these guys.
-Best price in the area.
-All the employees were extremely helpful and willing to go out of their way to be supportive.
-The pontoon was in great condition, had zero issues.
-Glen lake was incredible, beautiful lake.
We had an issue on the water and had to head out 3 hours early; one of the employees closed the shop to come pick up the pontoon early for us.
Will be coming back again!

I have used Glen Lake Marine twice and both were an exceptional experience. The owner Jeff is easy to work with from making the reservation to pick and drop off of the boat. His staff is friendly and went over all the safety measures and made sure I was comfortable to operate the boat before they left. It is true that Glen Lake Marine has lower prices, but that doesn't mean it's less of an experience. I will use Glen Lake Marine again on my next trip to Glen Lake.

We used Glen Lake Marine for our Up north Michigan today. We rented 2 speed boats for 4 hrs. The customer service was excellent & the supporting staff gave us all the required info & instructions we needed for the first timers. I thought the price was reasonable too. I would definitely recommend these guys.

The primary reason for the low rating is safety. After all, what could be more important than safety when renting a boat.
Firstly, somehow they forgot about our reservation. We arrived to the launch dock at 11:45, 15 minutes early as instructed. When nobody showed after a while I finally called. The owner apologized and got a boat there by 12:20, 35 minutes later than we were told. It wasn't a big deal for us because we were not on a schedule but definitely makes you wonder about the organization of this business. They said they only had one other reservation around that time so it is not like

I planned a last minute trip to Sleey Bear Dunes as a surprise for my boyfriend. I crossed my fingers and made some phone calls, hoping someone would have a Jetski available, and they did!
They were very pleasant, and informative. We rented it for 4 hours, they met us at the boat ramp, 15 minutes early to go over paperwork, so it wouldn't go into our riding time. And then, they were there perfect timing to pick it up, at the end of the day.
They made everything simple and effortless. We really appreciate how customer service friendly they were! And we enjoyed our time on the lake! You should
