The Lufkin High School Alumni Association is something special. Established in 1985, the organization has experienced tremendous growth and now has an active membership of over 900. Everyone associated with Lufkin High School, past, present or future should take pride in the fact that the school is one among a very few in the United States which has a fully organized alumni association.

The idea to form an alumni association came in 1985 during a reunion for the classes of 1935-46. Spearheading the effort, Founder Annon Card decided to do more than mix and mingle. Since its formation, the LHSAA has made a total commitment to continuing education awarding 2,730 scholarships totaling $2,737,365 to graduates of LHS through 2021 for use at any college university or vocational school of their choice.

Not a single teacher, principal, counselor, or anyone with authority in this school cares about you as a student. Being an athlete you can get away with so much stuff it's crazy, but students who don't participate in sports get no curve in their grades, get no respect from teachers, and often feel like they are judged by teachers and principals for being a nobody. I honestly feel bad for those students. This is not a good school at all. If anyone tells you it is, It's because they got the perks of being a school athlete.

Why tf would anybody in their right mind come to a school like this?!?!?! If you transfer from a private school to this prison, it'll be nothing but a living hell. I feel sorry for any child that is forced to come to such a place. It's nothing but pure isolation and loneliness for any child with good grades because I go here and I am one of them. Hopefully one day it will be closed down because it never should have existed. Bottom line: terrible school overall

Lufkin High is the biggest and best school in the state of Texas. I fany parents decide to send their children here, I give them props for that because their children deserve an awesome education!!! I graduated from this school and if you tell me there are too many black people you need to move to a white community. :)
