Our in-house design team will consider your home's average electricity usage, roof space and orientation, and shading from trees and buildings for your custom system design. We also provide several options to bring clean energy to your home, whether that's financing, leasing, or purchasing. Submit a photo of your recent electricity bill for our solar experts to review.
The cost of an average solar system on Long Island or in New York City ranges between $10,000 and $25,000. Equipment, permitting, installation, service, and maintenance are all included in your custom-designed EmPower Solar panel package. For $0 down you can benefit from immediate savings on your electric bill and expect to save upwards of $100,000 over the life of your solar system.
In addition to your average electricity use, our in-house design team will carefully ensure that your roof meets certain criteria to provide you with the best-performing solar panel system. Our in-house design team will consider your home's average electricity use and balance aesthetics with efficiency to optimize your home solar system.
While solar power is most readily available to homeowners with ideal property and roof conditions, we believe that it should be accessible to all. In partnership with a local Holbrook, NY business we have developed a commercial-scale 2MW project to service PSEG Long Island customers through community solar.

I am glad that I chose Empower to go solar! The team just made everything so easy and smooth! It was not an easy work to go solar for my house due to the irregular shape of the roof with a lot skylight windows and the trenching work to put more panels to my garage as well. The empower team was very thorough and very responsible for every work! The foreman and workers are very professional and friendly. I definitely recommend empower with 5 stars!

I chose EmPower as they had a supposed good reputation for customer care. When I first engaged with them they where quick to respond with a quote. However, their follow up has been appalling. Their sales person (Cam Kelly) promised to follow up with a revised quote for a canopy system. He consequently went away for two weeks without informing me (or setting an out of office reply). When he got back, he apologized and promised a quote that day or the following day at the latest. After a few days of not receiving it, I followed up again and have heard nothing. The entire process was amazing from Corey to Anthony to Kevin, everyone worked so well together and the crew yesterday and today was absolutely amazing. They works fast and cleaned up, they were polite and thorough. I am so pleased with the process and the outcome! Would recommend everyone to make a call and check them out! Empower Solar has a great product and an excellent team. From the initial sales visit through the installation, the team did a great job. My experience with the Sales team was great from the start. I received excellent and timely responses. Regarding installation, I insisted on running the attic wiring down the basement via an electrical conduit that was not easy to navigate but the Empower Solar team pulled it off! I am looking forward to working with Empower Solar in the future on another solar panel and/or solar battery storage project.

I just had a 13kW system installed by EmPower. I was extremely impressed with the entire process from start to finish- sales, planning, and the installation itself. Everything was incredibly streamlined. I shouldn't have mentioned the "planning" stage because I literally don't think I did anything at all. Everyone was very helpful, and took their… time explaining the nitty gritty details. Overall it was a great experience and I'm very happy with the system. I also signed up for their new community solar project in Selden, so when I'm not powered by my Empower solar system, I'll be getting

My experience with EmPower started when I was comparing solar panels and installation companies and my first contact there was Matthew Brill. I selected EmPower primarily because of the way Matthew approached me and my project. He is knowledgeable, professionals and was patient enough to run through several scenarios with me.
As someone who works in the design & construction process, I was also extremely impressed with EmPower's design and permitting teams. All along the way, a dedicated Project Manager kept me appraised and was available for any question I had.

We are very happy with the whole process. If not for COVID and installation having to get pushed back, I would rate my experience as close to perfection as possible. Scott McDonnell was honest, caring and transparent as a salesperson. I never felt like he tried to sell me, but to educate me as to why solar was a good decision. When installation happened, I couldn't be happier with Dean, Gerard and their crew (sorry guys I forgot the other names). We haven't had a sunny day since I installed and we are still generating power and happy.

Empower installed our solar system (21 panels) 2 1/2 years ago (May 2018). After the site inspection and design were all completed and the contract signed, the installation was completed in 1 (long) day. Kudos to their expert team of installers!
It has performed flawlessly since that time and delivered, to date (January 2021), 107% of our energy usage! Late this fall 2020 we passed the 20,000 KWH mark! Last May (2020), as we were entering the air-conditioning season, our production stood at almost 120% of usage.
We couldn't be more pleased. If anyone has any questions about solar in general,

Was supposed to get my door install before year end. Was pushed into 2020 and now I'm losing money on the roof that I got installed which now won't be covered when this company finally gets around to rescheduling us in 2020.
Don't buy from them. Not sure if they are short of employees or what is happening but very poor service and follow up.
Thinking of cancelling and going with someone else instead.

I stalk yelp reviews for one meal, so you can imagine how much research I did prior to going solar and furthermore, choosing Empower. Empower was the second of three top Long Island companies we "interviewed" and Matt Brill killed it. Matt's knowledge, passion and ultimately his product blew his competitors away. I could go into some of the specifics as to why we chose Empower . . . a mini inverter on each solar panel as opposed to one for the entire system, the ability to source over 100% of our energy from solar (dependent on sunny skies) or the mere fact that they also presented

The search for solar is a daunting and scary task. With so many choices and so many options it makes it tough to decide which direction to go. Everyone is looking to make your money. Thankfully I came across empower solar since they were marketing the top panel in the industry. The salesperson Matt was incredibly honest and straightforward. The process was handheld all the way through till the end and they dealt with all move senseless worries and any problem that occurred extremely professionally and quickly. Four words: $5 ELECTRIC BILLS!!!! That's what I pay on average each and every Month for the last two years. Large house, Central A/C set at 70. Owning the system is the way to go and look no further than EMPOWER. I did my research and they are the best. Call them, ask for Sales, say hi and say goodbye to high electric bills. $60 a year is all I pay. No Lease, No Problems.

I can't say enough good things about empower solar.. From the buying process, to site surveys, to building permits, to installation the service was outstanding! They worked around my schedule, explained every aspect of the process in detail, there were no surprises or hidden costs.. The installation team was amazing. They kept my property clean, were extremely friendly and gave me detailed updates throughout the entire installation process. Highly recommended!!
