A scar forms from the natural healing process that occurs in response to an incision placed during surgery. Scar tissue goes through phases of healing and can often appear red or mildly elevated during this natural process. Scars can be improved by topical products and scar massage. Caring for your scar can help improve its appearance.
A drain is a tube that prevents body fluid from collecting at your surgical site. The drainage end of the tubing is placed into your surgical site through an opening near your incision, and is held in place by a stitch. The drain pulls this fluid (by suction) into a bulb. You can then empty the bulb and measure the fluid inside.
When it comes to elective cosmetic surgery, patient safety is Dr. Adams #1 priority. However, as with all surgical procedures, complications can occur, and most insurance companies do not cover medical expenses related to a complication. As a cosmetic patient of Dr. Adams, your scheduled surgery includes CosmetAssure coverage.

Dr. Adam’s and his team are just the absolute best! They answered every question small or big to ensure everything was understood. They were never annoyed or made you feel “less than”. Dr. Adam’s and his team are truly empowering. Everyone was sincere and happy. When you see such a happy staff, you know it’s not made up and that’s just their normal! Dr. Adam’s and his team are simply amazing. From start to finish I had nothing but kind and professional care. I’ve had consults with other surgeons but chose Dr. Adam’s due to his kindness, genuine care and extensive knowledge. Traveling from Dickinson to Fargo isn’t easy but I gladly do it again to ensure I get the best care and results. So far I have done two surgeries with Dr. Adam’s with spectacular results. I’m excited for my third in just 2 months! One thing I find particularly special is that Dr. Adam’s provides you with his personal phone number in the event of questions

The people here are amazing and really patient and knowledgeable!
