The Iowa High School Athletic Association is a statewide service organization for schools and communities in Iowa that promotes sportsmanship, interscholastic activity, health, and wellness through the regulation and coordination of member school activities.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association works to coordinate, develop, direct, oversee, and promote boys' high school and junior high sports and activities across the state of Iowa. While serving as a reliable resource for records, regulations, scores, and statistics, the IHSAA supports the values and lessons of sportsmanship, interscholastic activities, and health and wellness for student-athletes.

To qualify, registrants must be a high school student or older, have a thorough understanding of the sport you wish to officiate, and the ability to interpret and apply rules. Once logged in, you will find tutorials and information from DragonFly to help you better understand the registration and licensing process.
The IHSAA has held a baseball state championship each year since 1928, and Iowa remains the only state in the country that plays summer baseball. Each season concludes with the advancement of eight teams from each of four classifications to the state tournament. Postseason assignments for all classes are now available for the 2021 baseball postseason.
After 40 years of management from the Iowa Bowling Proprietors Association, the IHSAA and IGHSAU added bowling to their sanctioned sports lists in 2009. Since then, it has consistently grown in participation and popularity across the state. The co-ed state tournament features three classes of bowling over three days and is currently held at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo.
