Minden Opera House

Ticket purchases over the telephone or the website must be paid for with a credit card or debit card. We accept: Visa, MasterCard and Discover. If tickets need to be purchased by check, payment for tickets must be received within two (2) business days. Season Tickets are valid for season ticket events only and only for seats assigned to the Season Ticket holder.

The Minden Opera House is largely sustained by the memberships we receive from our generous patrons. While we are incredibly proud of the arts entertainment that we provide, ticket sales alone cannot cover our operational expenses. Only about 25% of our annual income is generated from tickets.

Approximately 60% of our revenue comes from memberships, grants and donations - in other words, from the generous contributions of people just like you who believe in MOH and what we do.Your support is absolutely critical in order for us to continue to provide arts experiences in Minden and beyond.

Is your business looking for a great marketing opportunity? Or do you, as an individual, want to help support the Minden Opera House in our mission to provide quality entertainment at a reasonable rate? Many of the acts that we book to perform cost a great deal of money and sometimes ticket sales alone do not cover these costs.

You can donate commodities such as corn to the Minden Opera House rather than donating after the sale. By transferring legal ownership of the grain to MOH before it is sold, you can avoid the taxable income from that sale AND you are still able to deduct the entire cost of the production of the commodity on Schedule F. Depending on the producer's circumstances, savings may be realized on federal and state income tax and self-employment tax.

This show is available during business hours (Tuesday - Friday from 10 am - 5 pm) or on weekends by advance appointment only. I got my first Brownie Hawkeye Camera when I was eight and in the third grade. By the fifth grade I had read a book about wildlife photography and I was hooked.

I have had many cameras since that first Brownie, but for the past almost twenty years, I have taken most of the pictures you see here with a Tamron AF 70-300mm Tele-Macros Lens attached to my Pentax K100D Camera Body purchased from the Camera Doctor in Kearney after I retired from my Associate Dean of Students' position at Hastings College in 2002.
