Services
We met in 2004 through rock climbing. Our love for the sport as well as being in the outdoors has shaped our relationship and family throughout the years. We have shared our passion for climbing with friends and family by taking them on trips to Zion, Devil's Tower, Yosemite, The Red, Joshua Tree, and our favorite, the Black Hills, in South Dakota.
While they are designed for climbing and do make it easier, you are welcome to wear your own shoes as long as they are clean, close-toed, and have backs on them. Membership perks include: FREE yoga classes (16+), exercise equipment area (16+), FREE Learn the Ropes class, 15% discounts on Pro Shop and gear, as well as a monthly guest pass and discounts on other climbing classes and yoga workshops!
If you are not a Roca Member, we have yoga punch cards and daily class passes you can purchase. Check out our schedule below for the most up-to-date information. Our yoga classes are on a 'first come, first serve' basis. You must stop by the Front Desk to check in and/or pay and pick up a yoga class card to present to the teacher upon arrival at class.
Visitor Agreements must be completed for all climbers, chaperones, and spectators that plan to come into our facility. Once completed, you must validate your Visitor Agreement through your email address. Your agreement will not be accepted by our facility until this is done. Visitor Agreements for anyone under age 18 must be filled out by a parent or legal guardian.
Ready to take your climbing skills to the next level? Our lead climbing classes will help you do just that! Lead climbing and belaying is a fun and challenging set of skills that will further your knowledge about climbing and expand the indoor gym terrain available to you and your climbing partners.

Small but mighty. This is a small gym, but the quality of the setting is superb and the staff do a great job. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone visiting or living in the Rochester, MN area. Additionally, they are adding a full-size (12x12 Original) Kilter Board to the training area upstairs. I look forward to training on this the next time I am in the area. I definitely will be back.

It was my first time here and second time climbing, so I just stuck to the auto belays.
The staff were friendly and willing to help with any questions I had. The equipment I used (harness, shoes, auto belays) appeared to be safe and well kept.
The atmosphere was inviting, which made it easy to have fun. The routes were challenging too, at least to me (5.8 was tough, over that I couldn't finish).

It had been 21 years since the last time I had been on a climbing wall so I was a bit anxious getting started but the staff and the facility made the jitters go buh bye!! Super friendly and very easy to… navigate environment with extremely affordable prices and every bit of equipment you may need! 100 % perfect way to get some energy out and feel a bit of excitement during the cold and quarantine times!!

I was always interested in climbing and this is the perfect step in the right direction. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and understands that each individual is entering at their own level! Even other climbers very respectful, and helpful in learning. Climbing is a community! And I’m glad I got into it! You won’t regret it!

I was visiting a friend, and we decided to drop in to get my top roping in. Members get one free guest pass per month, and I was very pleased to take advantage of this and even more pleased with their setting! There are plenty of routes for beginners to more advanced climbers, and I especially appreciated that the harder routes were not more difficult simply because of crimpier or more muscle moves. The bouldering is a bit lacking and the facility on the smaller side, but for the quality of setting I could not be more pleased!

Super cool!
The people who work here are really nice and there's a lot of different grades to climb. 5.5 to 5.13. There is an easy kid section, a boulder, and auto-baleys everywhere. The gym room upstairs is small, but there are plenty of things in it. Also upstairs is a hangboard with a book that has routines to follow. They have different style yoga classes almost every day. Great place to check out for a day or train everyday.

This was my 1st visit to Roca, which was for my nieces b-day party. The instructor did a good job getting everyone ready and explaining the rule to the kids. It was fun seeing the instructor push them pass the point of what they thought they could do. I got to climb a couple times and thought the overall expericence & facilty was worth a 5 star review!

Disclaimer: I am a novice climber so take my review as such.
My friends and I went to Roca in mid April.
Staff: Helpful but for a first time climber it might have been a little to hands off. We watched a video on the safety basics and then were able to climb. I understand the safety requirements so I did not need the intro but I can see this might not have been enough for a first timer or a kid.
Walls and routes: Roca's walls are nice and tall with lots of interesting routes and challenges. As a novice I am only able to solve some 5.9 and some parts of 5.10 so I cannot speak on more

This gym is awesome: Tall walls with cool features (roofs, cracks, aretes and dihedrals) and great route setting. There's a huge overhanging lead wall for experienced climbers, and a fun area for the kiddos with slides built into the the walls in the back area. There's a huge top-out boulder in the center of the gym with a huge prow, great for big overhanging boulder problems. These features are even more impressive when you consider the owners designed and built the walls themselves. The quality of this gym would make it successful in any big city in the country. Rochester is super lucky
