St. Augustine High School is a co-educational Catholic High School serving Grades 9-12 promoting the highest academic standards and a solid foundation of Catholic values and traditions. It is fully accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department as approved by the Texas Education Agency.
St. Augustine High School became part of the Diocese of Corpus Chrisit in 1987. In the 80+ years of service to Laredo and neighboring communities, it has instilled this concept if excellence in over 4000 graduates. The school takes pride in the fact that 100% of the senior class is accepted into colleges and universities throughout the country, often their college/university of "choice" and is awarded millions in scholarships based on merit.

Services
The Board is called into existence and is constituted by the Bishop of Laredo to fulfill the purposes and powers set forth by its Constitution and By-Laws. The Board is established to assist and the Principals of the school in the governance of the diocesan school.
The purpose of the Board is to formulate policy consistent with diocesan, state and Texas Catholic Conference Education Department guidelines and directives for St. Augustine Schools, so that the largest possible number of students may be effectively educated in a Christian environment and encouraged to make a deep personal commitment to God.

St. Augustine High School automatically accepts students from our own St. Augustine Middle School and from local diocesan and private schools including Blessed Sacrament, Mary Help of Christians, St. Peter's, and United Day. While admission is automatic, all students must take a Math placement test in order to determine their freshman math course, Algebra I or Geometry.
It originated as a pagan festival over 2,000 years ago in Ireland and Scotland. In Mexico and other places where Mexicans reside the Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos, is celebrated. The reading from Deuteronomy gives a beautiful description of the lives of the saints - "Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul and all your strength."
The St. Augustine Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization that connects (or re-connects) alumni with their alma mater, and with each other, for the betterment of the school. Our family includes alumni of all ages, professions and walks of life. Our members share a love for the school, a passion for its future, and a desire to make a difference.
St. Augustine was founded in 1927 with the original campus located in the historic downtown Laredo. The school was moved to its present location at 1300 Galveston St. in 1976. Addition of facilities to ensure quality learning: Wellness Center, Early Childhood center, Middle School Building, Cafeteria, Weight Room, Dance Room, New Library, Alumni Center, Student Cafe.
