Wellsprings at Amelia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, with nearby rolling meadows and fence-lined pastures, overlooks the natural beauty of Amelia County. Conveniently located 30 miles southwest of Richmond, our residents remain connected to family and friends and maintain life-long ties with the people they love.

We offer skilled nursing care and extensive rehabilitation services for residents who are unable to immediately return home following a hospital stay for illness, injury or surgery. We provide care that allows our residents to recover and return home. We strive to meet all of our residents' physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs.
Services
Our respite program is designed for short-term stays in our community. These visits are intended to provide a break for both the resident and his or her caregiver. The respite program is available for a minimum of three days, but can be extended for as long as the resident or caregiver feels is necessary.

They are the most incompetent bunch of people I have ever seen in my life. The care is the worst ever not to mention they are a bunch of liars. They don’t want face-to-face visits because they don’t want you to see what terrible care they take up the patients. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. Please please take my advice and don’t place your loved ones here. They will come home in a box like my father did. I will find a way to sue and shut them down, I am currently talking to the elder care attorney.

The staff is friendly and very informative of progress on my family member. Any time I have called or visited they are more than willing to provide me with information and updates. I have comfort in knowing my loved one is being cared for when I am gone. The activities dept is excellent in stimulating the patients. I have been very pleased in the overall care of my family member..

A patient I cared for was sent to this nursing home from the hospital and came back to hospital one week later with new pressure ulcers and sepsis.

Horrible experience. They did not contact nobody to tell the family my grandmother wasn't feeling good let alone that she wasn't eating. She was bad enough to where she couldn't answer the phone. They did not even contact her doctor who sent her down there.

I used to work here and I would never in a million years send any of my family here. They are highly disrespectful, one day someone even got mad at the nurse for not changing her and she left her there and told someone else to do it. They are mistreated and yelled at for simply needing help. Not to mention the attitudes. I needed help one time and one if the nurses told me That it was my job she isn’t doing it. (Cleaning then up) and that’s what I’ve was there to do. Highly disgusting. Please find somewhere else to put your relative. They do not do their job and most need to be fired. I don’t
