The inside of the Rialto is completely transformed now that the floor and carpet are finished! Enjoy a Sunday afternoon of big band music listening to the Front Range Big Band from Colorado Springs. Thanks to your generous donations, Larry Baker, the FACT board, and several volunteers, we now have a safe stairway to the dressing area below the stage.
Our wonderful cast and crew put in many long hours and lots of hard work to bring this fantastic play to life. We want to thank all the cast, crew, donors, and the community for making this happen. This was a delightful melodrama that featured a dashing Hero, a sigh-worth Heroine, and an evil Villain with a sinister laugh.

The Historic Rialto Theater is rising to its former glory, thanks to your generous donations and the hard work of the dedicated F.A.C.T. organization. Before we could use the area under the stage for a dressing area, we needed new, safe stairs. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Larry Baker (with some help of the Board and volunteers) and your generous donations, we now have those stairs completed!
The Rialto Theater Board of Directors proudly announces the creation of a "Friends of the Rialto" gift giving program. This will be an annual and continuous fundraising platform to cover the monthly operational costs of the theater. The Friends initiative will be used to pay monthly bills such a Black Hills Energy, ATMOS, City of Florence, the Fremont Sanitation District, and facility insurance liability premiums.
Play written by Tom Bruno, owner of Papa's! The theater doors opened at 5:30 pm (Friday and Saturday) and 4:30 pm (Sunday) and auditorium curtains opened 10 minutes before dinner. The melodrama lasted about an hour and refreshments (beer, wine, soda and concessions) were available until curtain. Opening Night and the next two performances averaged 70-75 attendees!

An amazing experience in the heart of historic downtown Florence! The old building is still in the process of renovation, but is now open to the public. Check out their website for the latest schedule of shows. I recommend making a day of it. Visit the nearby antique shops on main street, enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant, then walk over to the Rialto for a live show. Tickets and refreshments (soft drinks, beer, wine, snacks) are all very reasonably priced, so definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.

This is one of the most amazing Historical buildings in Fremont County. Originally an Opera House in the 1920s, the Rialto has led many lives in the near 100 years she has been on main street, including the setting of a Paranormal Ghost Hunt! Currently the Rialto Theater serves as a live performance venue and community hub. Stop on in anytime and ask for a tour, or come for an awesome play or concert. Visit the Rialto Theater website or Facebook page to see current event schedule.
