James is always very helpful and gives you the honest truth about what can and cannot be done for, in my case, my ancient old MacBook. He works on all OS's and devices. Very Fair!

James is a great guy knows his stuff and is always ready to work with you to get exactly what you need. i don't often rave on yelp but he deserves it helped us design a super computer for my son that is way better than anything we could find to buy on line and works amazingly well.
i have used him at least a dozen times and he has come through for me every time with flying colors.

He is reasonable in price, works and communicates effectively, polite and nice. I have had him work on my gaming tower, my iMac I use for video editing, hard droves and laptops.

Awesome experience. It's a very small privately owned business with a knowledgeable, friendly, owner-IT specialist. Easy on and off of the highway.

09/27/17 We are RVing through the area and my HP Laptop went dead. We lucked out upon finding James at Plumas Computing. He understood our plight, did an evaluation, fixed the issue for a fair/reasonable fee !! His caring for the situation of our travel, friendliness and professional expertise sent me out with a smile !! I would come back again as I received personalized attention as compared to dropping off my laptop with a counter clerk. I am from big city and know I would NOT received this personalized attention, let alone a fair and reasonable fee for technical service. Highly recommend
