John was excellent. Our heat pump wasn't working and he replaced a fuse and checked out the system. We appreciated his professionalism. He did say that we were probably due to get a new heat pump, which we know we will have to do. We have been having mice problems in the room where the furnace is and he provided a suggestion that helped catch a big rat.

Gas heat went out, phone guy said they would be here Monday - we waited all weekend without heat in single digit temps. Now I get a text (not a call) saying they don't do gas stoves. Left us in a very awful situation. Now we have to get on a wait list elsewhere and hope our pipes don't freeze.

This was a follow-up call for the new installation last June. They called me, the service was free and John was exactly on time. How great are these guys? I could not ask for anything better and John was great.

Andrew was on time per appointment. He started trouble tracing and found the problem very quickly. He corrected the issue and the heat started working. This saved me about $3000 to replace a piece of equipment if he had not found the problem.

Similar to other posters, I've experienced the poor estimates and high pricing. I will say their technicians do the job well. Where they fall down is on estimates (underbidding on behalf of electrical subs by hundreds of $), follow through (you call for the permit, not us) and price ($500 to install a $100 thermostat). Really want to help a local business. But two tries later I'm disappointed.

I arranged for AE Heating and Air to check out my mini-split system. They neglected to tell me that they tack on $175 travel charge just to come out to my house in Mosier which is 5 miles from Hood River! My total bill was $323 just to find out that everything is working fine. When I complained the tech said he hears that a lot but I would need to call the office to complain. I also called to talk about their ridiculous travel charge and mentioned my displeasure. I was told that the owners would be informed. Well, I haven't heard anything from them so .... PLEASE BE AWARE- AE is not clear

This company did not fulfill expectations. They charge a lot. And the sales guy took the liberty of quoting the electrical costs. We accepted we were investing in our home. We expected the work to be done well. They failed to accurately work with the electricians to quote us the right amount. Their permit had my name spelled wrong. When I called to tell them one of the staff laughed at this fact. I do not find my name spelled wrong on a permit funny. They had the worst time processing our payment. Then we got the electric bill. It was almost double the quote. This was after reduced the amount of
