If I could give negative stars I would. Our loved one went into Tampa lakes after surgery. She repeatedly called crying saying that nurses would not respond to her calls for hours. She should have been receiving regular physical therapy due to her injury and has come out completely wheelchair bound, absolutely no muscle tone in her legs at all and multiple bedsores. Our home health nurse also discovered dried and caked on waste around her sore that was supposedly just cleaned an hour before she got home, as well dried old waste in and around her private areas. This is place in an absolute disgrace

A family friend has been in Cabana Bay and she cries regularly about how staff members do not respond to her requests for assistance to use the restroom and how they regularly make her wait for hours for them to respond when she is completely wheelchair bound and unable to go on her own. I can not imagine how detrimental this kind of inhuman treatment must be to her physical and psychological well-being.

We were skeptical about letting our grandmother go to a rehab facility during the era of COVID-19. She lives with us and did not want to go, but the doctors at the hospital recommended she did to get stronger before coming back home. We picked Tampa Lakes based off of some reviews, and we are pleased with the experience. The staff were very responsive to any requests and the management team was very accessible when needed. Grandma had an over-all good experience, would recommend to any family in a similar situation.

I transferred my Mom to Tampa Lakes after a horrible experience at another local rehab in Lutz & let me tell you it was the best decision we’ve made! My mom is so much happier, doing great in her therapy sessions, & being well taken care of! If I had read all of these awesome reviews from the start my Mom would have been here from the beginning. We are so happy we were able to get her into Tampa Lakes & are so grateful that she is getting strong enough to come back home! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! ~~ J Reyes

My grandfather was a patient at Tampa Lakes about a month ago. He needed some rehab before returning home with us, and during this pandemic we were really hesitant to go. However our experience was great! My grandfather said staff were friendly and attentive, the therapy gym was huge and the therapy staff were also amazing, they called us every week to let us know how he was progressing in his therapies. We were able to set an appointment to visit outside on several different occasions. Over-all great experience, not like others we have had in the area.

We decided to send our loved one here for short term rehab after a hospital stay. The admissions coordinator called us to entice us to come. She was very helpful, from there it all became very challenging. Very hard to talk with nursing staff on the phone. The therapy and nursing staff did not seem to communicate to be on the same page for what our loved one needed to be able to return home to ALF. The staff needs to answer the phone and communicate with families during Covid. We asked 6 times for them to recheck her urine for UTI- it never got was done before discharge. She has not recovered to

My experience with Tampa Lakes was nothing short of amazing. I am not sure if the review about "short staff" was a disgruntled employee but I never found that to be an issue. In fact I always found there was more than one person always available to meet my needs. They have the nurse, the CNA, the unit manager, an assistant director of nursing, a director of nursing, a risk manager, a night time nurse supervisor, a weekend nurse supervisor, and an administrative manager on duty-- I mean it, there was always someone to help! But more importantly, the REHAB TEAM! LIFE CHANGING! I watched them not
