Ultimately, after all his years in practice, Dr. Matthew Mulcahy is still most passionate about providing a comfortable and satisfactory dental experience for his patients. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Louis University. Upon earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Washington University, Dr. Mulcahy completed a general practice residency at the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis.
Almarie graduated from the College of Science and Education with an Associate's degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. She has been Dr. Mulcahys dental assistant since 2007. In addition to assisting during dental procedures and consulting with patients about their treatment plans, Almarie also manages the office.
Your regular exam will take about 45 minutes. Each regular exam includes a detailed teeth cleaning, in which we will clean, polish, and rinse your teeth to remove any tartar and plaque that have built up on the tooth's surface. Visiting our office every six months gives you the chance to talk to the doctor about any questions you may have about your oral health.

My husband had an appointment scheduled that the office cancelled on their own without his knowledge. I personally had an appt one day earlier that I missed. So today, my husband went for his SCHEDULED 8AM APPT- took a day off of work and they cancelled HIS appt because I didn't confirm MY appt! That is unprofessional and this has NEVER happened in ANY other facility I have had appts with. Nobody EVER cancels an unconfirmed appointment (they did not try calling my husband once). My husband needed this appointment due to issues from his last and now he cannot be seen which may cause further tooth

So surprised at the different experience. I moved to the island recently and changed my dental to Windmill through a recommendation, I moved an appointment for my granddaughter Maddie there for a procedure surprisingly she went home telling her dad she is not afraid of the dentist anymore as its so kid friendly there, Dr Mulcahy, Almarie and staff is so accommodating it felt like home. My whole family has been going to windmill dental since we moved to Nantucket 3 years ago. Dr. Mulcahey had an excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. He is great with kids. Staff is curteous and professional and appointments have run on time. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist on island.

Professional experience . Dr Mulcathy is one of the best dentists in Nantucket, having nice employees, very honest too and educated, treates his clients well and explain every proces in details. Really enjoyed my dentist appoiments. Both me and my husband did the whole mouth treatment and feel great after. On the top of that I heard he is one of the only ones dentist in ACK who accepts MassHealh, Health Connector. Totally recommend it!

Dr. Mulcahy is rude and disrespectful..even at my first appointment he doesn't even look directly at u. No "bed side manner" at all..then he removed 2 teeth which was needed. But one was left with "pieces of bone" that cause extreme pain. He wanted to argue with me to the point he said that he would be able to do anything if I kept saying anytjing..he preceeded to try to pull price out without numbing when I explained it was painful he put novicain in and immediately started to pull on the peices. Still only removed one of them and said mother nature needs to take its
