Over 40 YEARS of making memories here at Woodlawn Resort on beautiful Lake Minnewaska! Come Celebrate and make some memories with us. Woodlawn is located on beautiful Lake Minnewaska, the 13th largest lake of Minnesota. There is a variety of fish including walleye, perch, northern, sunfish, crappies, and large and small mouth bass.

We are only 2 miles from the city of Glenwood where tennis courts, golf courses, fine shopping, and restaurants are available. We are also only 13 miles South of Alexandria where theme parks, movie theaters, and much more can be found. Woodlawn's little store offers live bait, a small line of groceries, ice, firewood, T-shirts and caps.

Woodlawn Resort and Campground is our pride and joy. Starting after Randy and Judie made their name as teachers some 40 years ago Randy Crumb had a dream to own a campground. In spite of his lovely wife talking sense into him and staying in their current career as educators Randy started looking. After looking for a while they found a few places they wanted to visit.
Woodlawn is located just 13 miles from Alexandria and the Chain of Lakes. Our Seven housekeeping cabins are spacious, homey, comfortable units located on a large shaded lawn area with easy walking to Lake Minnewaska. Each unit has plenty of space between to afford privacy and quiet. The units are equipped with full kitchens, bathrooms with showers, bedding furnished in bedrooms.
Woodlawn features a campground of 30 wooded spacious sites each equipped with electricity, picnic table and fire ring. The sites are located in walking distance to Lake Minnewaska. The bathhouse has flush toilets, showers, mirrors and plug-ins for campers' convenience. The primitive camping area is perfect for tenters wanting privacy and nature at it's best.
Cabin No. 1 (rate based on 4 persons) - Two bedroom, Deck, BBQ/table, close view of the lake. Cabin No. 5 (rate based on 2 persons) - One bedroom, Beautiful view of the lake, private location, outdoor fire pit. We require ALL BOATS and PONTOONS be REMOVED from the dock overnight and during excessively windy days.

I really do love this place. I come back year after year. It's all about the fishing, cabins, people, and just relaxing. The kids love the place- all the games, playgrounds, waterslides, waterbikes, jetskis... What else does a family need? Also the town nearby is super cute with nice shopping and restaurants. Owners know a lot of people and have great recommendations. Will be back soon.

A basic but nice camping experience!! Sites are very wooded and private. Some sites have electricity, and some are very basic. Fresh water fill hose is located by the basketball hoop to fill up your tank before getting setup at your site. Very nice people with great access to the lake. Sadly it was too windy to rent the pontoon. Definitely needs some updates, but the guy mentioned improvements and upgrades are coming.

Very disappointing experience. I've been camping for 25 years and I've never been treated so poorly.
I received comments like, "you better show up" when referring to my reservation.
The owners acted like we were out to rip them off. We had several campgrounds and a few different group arrival times. Can't believe you pay by person.
Extremely expensive for such little features.
If we weren't visiting family in the area (which they weren't allowed to visit us without a fee) we would not have stayed here and we will not be staying here again.

Campsites were clean and the kids had fun on the water slides and the playground. Unfortunately the showers had only cold water, the lake was very weedy, and the dock desperately needs repair.

Love this resort and the owners are awesome! Enjoy a peaceful cabin right on the lake. Great swimming area. I've stayed several times and I know folks who visit annually. Stay here if you're looking for a Minnewaska experience

Everyone here is Minnesota nice!!! The place itself has seen better days. If you have your own r.v. the park is clean. The cabins are most likely the original cabins from the day they opened 40 years ago. Alot of TLC needed to restore this place to it's glory.

We spent Memorial weekend there. The price for & the additional fees for each site week a spendy. We are out camping, fishing or hiking every weekend. This was the most spendy site we've been to yet.
The lake is good size, & the fishing was decent.

Very nice owners p. Don't expect more than the basics here... minus water at your campsite. They have boats for fishing. We did not go in the cabins, but I imagine they are dated. The campsites have electric and fire pits, we did not have a neighbor so it felt spacious. Only complaint is that they should invest in providing water at the campsites for $50 a night you would expect a water hook up.

The first two nights were fine, we rented a pontoon (not the nicest but very cheap), the lake across the street was sufficient for the kids with two little water slides. We paid $30 to have 4 guests come on Saturday night, than we were told at 11 lights out and we had to go inside the camper. So if you don’t plan on staying outside later than 11 pm on a Saturday night, it would be a fine place for you. Agreed with many prior reviews, it is very outdated, and no fresh water hookups, you have to keep driving back to the full up to fill your tank or bring a long enough hose.

An incredible place to bring your family!!! We went as a large family group and rented out 4 of their cabins (cabins 3, 6, 7 and 8). We had six kids in the group aging from 2 months to 10 years old in our group and they loved the playground, the great swimming area, and catching fish from the docks! The owners are incredible and are willing to go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Scott even took the time to help me get my old boat motor running!
The cabins are a bit old fashioned, which we didnt mind at all! The prices for the stay were very reasonable considering the
