Just-A-Wee-Day "Nursery School" was founded in 1960 in Mendon, Massachusetts offering a Nursery School and Kindergarten Program. In the 1980's Just-A-Wee-Day recognized the needs of families in the area and added extended childcare to the traditional nursery school program.
In response to the changing workforce, with parents returning to their careers more quickly after the births of their children, an Infant/Toddler program was established in 1985.The center was moved to Hopedale, where we are currently located, in 2012. The philosophy that we share at Just-A-Wee-Day Child Care Center is that children learn when they are in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Services
Just A Wee daycare has been one of the best decisions we have made as parents for our two newborn children. The owner, director, and staff go above and beyond daycare duties and has made this place a true learning experience that includes daily behavior logs, monthly curriculums, newsletters and quarterly report cards.

So thrilled I came across this center. Since my son has been enrolled there, he has improved his speech and communication skills and is much more confident in himself. The staff is amazing and so personable. They know and love every child and the curriculum his teachers put together is unique and very impressive. I can’t wait to send my younger son to Just-A-Wee!

We love Just a Wee! Our 2 year old daughter has been at JAW since she was 4 months old and has flourished! Even throughout the pandemic, JAW is always communicative and following safety protocols to ensure our little ones are as safe as possible while also giving them a great education along with lots of fun. My daughter literally runs up to the teachers to give them a hug when we get there. I would highly recommend JAW to anyone.

My son started Just a Wee when he was in a toddler room. We had taken a break from daycare because we had full time care available. Once we were ready to send him to Pre-School I knew I didn’t have to look anywhere else. We LOVE this school. The teachers are so kind. The director Dannielle is super responsive, kind and has done amazing navigating through Covid-19 protocols. The staff is friendly and my son is flourishing at this school. I can’t say enough great things about them

We love Just a Wee! Our daughter (a pandemic baby) started in the toddler 1 classroom in August 2021, her first daycare experience, and the teachers and directors at JAW did so much to make sure she was comfortable and felt safe. It was a tough adjustment for her but the teachers made it so much easier. They also sent us updates daily, sometimes multiple times per day to let us know how she was doing! Now she asks to go to “school” almost every day, even though she only attends 3 days/week. Our daughter loves her teachers and all her friends in her class. Our daughter also has multiple life

This daycare is not what you think it is. My niece comes to this daycare every single day. My sister has to send her here since we have no where else to send her that’s convenient & nearby. But, we will be finding her another daycare soon. One day I parked my car outside (recently) and watched my niece outside during play time. I figured I’d give her a few more minutes while I did some of my work files. I saw so many kids fall down & cry and the staff didn’t seem to care. I also tried many times talking to the head administrator and she gave me a horrible attitude. Not very friendly people

At first it seemed like a great place my son has developmental delay and I was assured they could handle his issues. After 3 month we found out that info was never given to his teacher. The owner is very unresponsive and not professional. My son repeatedly fell down and hit his face(swollen nose and scrapes) no one noticed or said a word. Multiple times a week I would pick him up to find his shoes and clothes on backwards and diaper very very dirty. I would NOT send your child to this daycare

Best decision we made was to have our children attend Just A Wee. My daughter started at 4 months and is getting ready to graduate and head to Kindergarten. JAW prepared her academically and socially. The teachers are amazing. My son who is now 2 has been going since 3 months. Nothing is harder than dropping off your new born, but JAW made a hard transition that much easier. When looking into Daycare for our children we toured many places. Just A Wee was the only place I felt I could leave my children and know they were being cared for like family.

I have been sending my three kids, 12, 9 and 3 to Just a Wee Day for almost 12 years. What I love most about Just a Wee is that it’s a family owned “school” , not a daycare. There is structured learning and the kids learn age appropriate schedules, boundaries and how to have fun learning. The teachers are amazing and don’t leave. My three year old has the same teachers my 12 year old had a decade ago. The owners are a caring local family who are involved with the day to day operation. I would recommend Just a Wee to anyone, especially scared first time parents who aren’t sure who to trust

Being a new mom I was very nervous leaving my baby with anyone. When getting ready to go back to work Just a wee helped me get used to dropping my baby off by doing I guess you would say test runs. Started 3 weeks prior 1 day a week each day was a little longer. This helped calm me down so much! My daughter is in the infant room and I absolutely love all the wonderful women who care for her! I feel very comfortable with all of them, and they answer all your questions! I would recommend this facility to anyone! I am also a big fan of all the projects they do and come home with!
