IFS was established in 1967 as NIAF (Northern Ireland AirFreight) making its foundations at the early stages of development of Belfast International Airport. The company founded itself on providing exacting transportation solutions to customers based in Ireland and soon further afield to America, Canada and the Far East.
IFS Global Logistics was established as Ireland Freight Services in 1967, acquiring Williames Airfreight in 1990 and BRS Air Cargo in 1994, these complimented the already highly successful freight forwarding entity Ireland Freight Forwarding Services, and has become the leading privately owned IATA Freight Forwarding Group of Companies in N. Ireland.
