Kit Carson RV Park and Campground is nestled in beautiful, rustic, tall ponderosa pine forest close to downtown Flagstaff on historic Route 66, easily accessible from both I-17 and I-40. We're close to a multitude of local attractions; including award winning restaurants, brew pubs, national parks, local parks, museums, hiking trails, and historic landmarks - including the Grand Canyon, Sunset Crater, Flagstaff Arboretum, and Lowell Observatory.
There is a gas station, with diesel fuel, propane, and mini mart, directly across the street.

Advertised WiFi, working toilets and showers. None provided. Septic broke. Raw sewage everywhere. Gross. Repairs in process. Wouldn't provide refund because they 'don't do refunds.' Even in extenuating circumstance. Mostly long term, permanent rentals. Tired. Worn out. Run down. Short term folks placed next to 66. Long term have best slips. Shade is nice. Very disappointed overall.

This is the worst RV park we have ever been too. Been traveling in our RV for over 2 months with our two 5lb. pugs. Paid $250.00 upon arrival and by the time we got in our spot and got the slides out the guy calls about an issue with the dogs paperwork for the dogs. So my wife went to the office and was told we had 20 minutes to either get the paperwork fixed or leave. As it was 4:30 PM we were not able to do anything that night and had to leave with no where to go in the middle of summer with places full. To top it off they wouldn't refund the $250.00 paid for one hour or less. Disgusting people

Nice park with beautiful huge old trees surrounding all the camp sites. Located conveniently right next to the highway but once your inside the park & surrounded by all the trees you feel like your in the middle of nowhere. Its peaceful and relaxing. Prices are kinda steep for the amenities you get but that should be expected in Flagstaff.

Your last resort. This very old park is large and sits in a stand of large pines. Most of the sites appear to be occupied by permanents/seasonals. The bathhouse is ancient and stained with age but functional and appears to be cleaned/serviced on a regular basis. No Wifi and there is a small laundry. When every place else is full this is your last resort.

I love this RV park! It’s so homey. Everyone is SO friendly. From calling in to waking around everyone was super friendly. I LOVE THAT YOU CAN SEE THE 5MPH SPEED SIGN RIGHT AWAY! There’s no need to go faster as we walk our dog’s & kids play! The owner/manager is on top of it, and I’m here for it as I’ve almost lost a pet due to a speeder. The coffee & donuts in the morning is so fun, tacos are great when the truck comes around, and you’re in nature but not far from the city life! It’s perfect. Rustic, 100 years old! Isn’t that amazing that it’s still going? They’ve cleaned the

If you are just passing through it would be ok for a night in a pinch. A lot of full time RV’s that are very old. There was no gravel anywhere and just dirt spots that would be a muddy mess if it rained. With the wind or someone driving by made a dust cloud, we never even took out a lawn chairs since we didn’t want to be in the dust. The whole place could use some serious TLC

This isn't a bad RV park. The pine trees are beautiful and the location is excellent. The office staff seem friendly enough.
There are a lot of permanent or semi permanent residents here, so it's kind of a different vibe than at other campgrounds. The people that I met were all friendly. A number of units look a little junky, however. There is a big RV storage area in the middle of the park, and many of them were in disrepair.
I get the feeling that the campground isn't as maintained as it once may have been. There were giant puddles from the melting snow that would benefit from some gravel.
