Their sons, Steve and Brad started working part-time, after school. The origin of R.F. Ohl started from the need to supply diesel fuel to a water well drilling rig. The well drilling rig used 150 gallons a day of diesel. Bobby decided to buy his own fuel delivery truck, since he had previously worked for a heating oil company, to control some of his fuel costs.

Like many people in Northeastern Pennsylvania, our homeowner used oil heat for his ranch home in Slatington, PA. But, this wasn't always enough to keep him warm. And, his home never had air conditioning. A ductless heat and cooling system would solve both these problems. Problem: A ranch home in. I was at work when Shawn came to do the yearly maintenance on our furnace, ductless air units and our propane fireplace. He had called me at work because he was running 10 minutes late! How many places do that anymore! I told him that would be fine and that my wife was there to let him in. His work, as well as everything we've ever had done by the entire Ohl's crew was spot on. Excellent work by Shawn. I work recommend him to anyone! GREAT work Shawn...Thank you! Thanks to Ohl's too for hiring such competent workers! A job well done and appreciated.

Thanks again to Shawn B and RF Ohl for great service. Shawn maintains my apartment buildings and my personal residence. Earlier this year he helped us get a more life out of our aging AC system. A few weeks ago he took care of the heating systems in my apartment buildings. I want to make sure my tenants are warm and happy! Today Shawn cleaned and inspected my own heating system along with a faulty thermostat. Again he did a great job and explained everything that needed to be done.

The technician, Mark, was super friendly, personable & professional all at the same time. He showed up early which I appreciated & called first. He was extremely thorough & took time to answer questions & explain things. This was for an A/C tune-up, not a repair. But it was 3 years since I had my A/C tuned up. I highly recommend R.F. Ohl & I am beyond pleased with the service I received from Mark. I am going to use them for some plumbing work & possibly a water softener.

Decided to have Ohl's service our furnaces since the previous owners used them...big mistake...I had a furnace in my garage not working. At first it was a bad thermostat wire, was charges $211 for 14 feet of wire, $131 for a diagnostic charge and $229 service fee. With all that my furnace worked a few hours, came out the next day, said they fixed it again and made a point to say I wouldn't be charged for the call to fix the furnace they apparently didn't fix. It worked a few hours. I texted the service guy and he said too call an on-call tech. Since I just payed $211 for a piece

Told us two years after moving into our house that "they recently noticed" our oil vent wasn't up to code and that we wouldn't be receiving any additional oil deliveries until we fixed the problem. They left us with a half a tank and zero notice. There was no notification at any time that we had a code violation but they chose the dead of November to notify us. I was already unhappy with their service and communication to begin with but this is just reprehensible. We will be finding a new oil provider.
