One of the most popular machining operations that we perform is crankshaft grinding and polishing. Ensuring the crankshaft and camshaft bearing journals are straight is a critical step in rebuilding your engine. A proper cylinder wall finish is crutial to properly seat the compression and oil rings of your engine.
One of the most popular machining operations that we perform is crankshaft grinding and polishing. We can accurately grind and polish the rod and main journals of just about any crankshaft renewing the bearing surfaces to better than factory specifications, we also perform Magnaflux testing, straighten bent crankshafts and cut new keyways when needed.
Ensuring the crankshaft and camshaft center lines are straight is a critical step of rebuilding an engine. If the block bores are not straight, it can cause the rotating assemblies to bend and flex under heavy load increasing the chance of engine failure. We carefully measure the diameter and check the alignment of every engine we build making sure the engine block is within manufacture's recommended tolerance.
A proper cylinder wall finish is crucial for sealing the compression and oil rings. We make sure your blocks cylinders and perfectly smooth and round, reducing the chance of compression loss and oil consumption, this in turn will help your engine reach in maximum horsepower potential and increase it's overall longevity.

As stated before, the techs that assisted us and addressed our questions and concerns were both knowledgeable about everything we asked them and were able to fulfill requests we had for the engine we brought to them. We haven't picked it up yet but so far it has been a positive experience. Will update further when the work is completed

Top machinists here! I brought a block and head here that was messed up at another shop. Howard took the time to explain everything to me and recommend various options with my build. In the end I took home a precisely built short block and head. They even threw in a rebuild for my oil pump.

Dropped off 2 motorcycle cases to be welded and a cylinder to be honed. I was not in a hurry, but was told it would be done the next week. It is now six weeks later, and I have been told three times it was gonna be done next week or today. I hate leaving bad reviews but do not bring work here if you expect done fast. Will update if they ever finish.

I've been going to this machine shop for more than 10 years when I need my machine work done... Howard, the owner is a really good guy he helps me and guides me through my projects. Prices are good machine work is very good he always does a great job on everything I take over there. Anywhere from stock engines to my racing or high performance street engines. I will always go back over there. There are other good machine shops in town. But they always treat me right. That means a lot.
