Elm Street Tattoo

100% recommend Gary. He did my girls tattoo and it looks great. I actually though Gary would be my artist, but they assigned me to someone else. Ultimately my fault, I should have made an appointment with him instead.
I feel like my tattoo was rushed, I’m seeing a lot of scarring on the second half, I remember that the artist started going faster and harder at that point. Maybe he just didn’t like me 😅

Had just come in for a walk-in. Woman at the front was kind in waking us through the process as there were 2 customers ahead of us when my sister needed to use the restroom (which they did not have, just heads up)
She went next door to use the bathroom which she told the woman at the counter and she said that’s fine.
However, she failed to tell us that if we left, we would be at the bottom of the list, even after submitting the waiver and what we had initially wanted. When we returned, several large groups had entered, going through the wavier process.
After waiting 30 minutes, we had noticed

Drove up from Houston to get tattooed at Elm Street. I got tattooed by Gary Koblis and he did an awesome job. All around great guy,and a super talented artist. If you’re ever up in Dallas or live in Dallas please go check Gary out!

Wouldn't ask for Austin as your artist. He made me really uncomfortable the entire time I was getting the tattoo. Kept making weird, inappropriate comments about me and the other girls getting tattooed in the shop. Super creepy guy. Counter girl was very sweet, other artists were nice.

I had an amazing experience at Elm Street Tattoo. I used their tattoo vending machine and was extremely happy with what came out. My artist Austin was exceptional and super friendly! Definitely coming back to get more work done!

They had 5-6 tattoo artists in the shop and said walk ins were available. however, the customer service here was terrible and they didn't even acknowledge me after I filled out the waiver. The blonde girl who was helping people at the front was lowkey rude and extremely impatient. Left frustrated and decided to give my business elsewhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND. (Also it's really expensive for average artwork)

Clean and nice place, however they overcharged me $120 for a 1x1 tattoo. Initially I asked for an estimate, and they told me $80. Obviously the estimate was way off, and they didn’t tell me the final price until after the tattoo was done, and I had to pay, as well as tip. My tattoo artist was so awkward not to mention, he made the whole experience uncomfortable. The shading of my tattoo was not done well, and I overall think they just overcharge in general because of their location in Deep Ellum. Definitely go somewhere else if you’re looking to get a tattoo, not worth the price here.

Randomly went in around 11-12pm to get a tattoo, and soon after making my selection was able to get started on my tattoo. Everyone there was super friendly, and even though they close shop at 2am, my artist was ok with staying a little late to finish my tattoo, and he did a great job on it

We drove all the way from Houston and had a really wonderful experience here in May. My brother and I got matching tattoos in memory of our late dad, who we lost in May 2019. We chose to have phrase often used by him to memorialize him with. Our tattoo artist was David Steed and he took the time to make us feel confident. He took his time to help us find the perfect fonts for our ink and we both left very happy. We even got to meet Oliver and Ricardo!

I got my first tattoo here, my experience was okay but there are a few things that I'm going to mention.

No one in there was wearing a mask. With the new strain of virus going around I don't feel that that's safe!
My tattoo artist (not sure of his name, he had glasses, that's all I can describe him with) was rude to me multiple times. He scolded me and he wouldn't let me FaceTime my boyfriend for moral support because it's "rude". He also looked visibly annoyed and rolled his eyes when I said that I wanted the stencil to be more evenly drawn.
The place

Got my first tattoo and 2 friends got their 2nd tattoos last night. David Nash was our artist and he was fabulous!! He was great to work with personality and artistry.

Highly recommend getting an appointment instead of just walking in. There is a very small area to wait and those without appointments waited a long time to get worked in.

Again David Nash was awesome.

10/10 recommend!!!!!! Carlos was my artist and he did everything PERFECTLY. My mom and I decided to get matching tattoos for my birthday, and I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way. Our tattoos came out clean, crisp, and he worked with us to design exactly what we wanted. Lastly, the shop was CLEAN. Sanitation was prioritized, which made us feel very safe.

Came in as a walk in and got exactly what I wanted.

It was hand drawn from a concept in my head. Dave was so nice and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable the entire time. Making this experience 10/10. I will be coming back for ever American Tradition tattoo I get

I've been wanting to get a tattoo here for a long time and I finally got it.

There's plenty of parking near the shop.

Walked in and the place looks small but it is awesome. There are wall to wall tattoos, and in those large binders that hang on the wall, again full of tattoos.

The staff is very attentive, super friendly and they get along great with one another.

I even got to see the great Oliver Peck.

This is the most pathetic overpriced tattoo shop in Dallas sure they do good art but for prices they are asking is insane

We loved this place. My wife loves tattoos and is a fan of ink masters so she wanted to check this place out. She checked the website and made an appointment with David Steed. This went smoothly and he was ready for her on time. She had sent in her idea on email but he told us when we were there that he gets so many emails a day with ideas from people that he simply cant keep up with them so he draws it out on the spot. They talked over her idea and then he spent about half hour in the back drawing it out and when he brought it out it overwhelmingly exceeded expectations. It was gorgeous

Carlos was my go to guy. His professionalism and skills made me want to go back, TWICE. I traveled from Hawaii to Texas to visit friends and ended up leaving with fresh TATTOOS!. I like how I told him what I had in mind, the size and purpose. He would sketch up the perfect tattoo.

This is a very fast pace environment. People constantly coming in and out. They try to get as many people as possible. I don't recall the name of the female at the front desk but she was very straight forward not beating around the bush. I liked that. To others it might come off as somewhat rude but as a mentioned

Came in with my Husband, he got two tattoos done by Jacob who was not only a really great artist but really friendly and welcoming. Made us feel really comfortable. Jacob, and the rest of the staff at Elm Street Tattoo made us feel welcome and valued and left a great impression on myself and my husband.
My husband is already planning his next tattoo with Jacob and I am too!

Definitely one of the best experiences you could want in getting a tattoo from one of the most famous tattoo shops in the country. The energy in this place was palpable, the atmosphere was exciting, the artists and employees were amazing, friendly, and informative. If you go on the weekend, expect to wait, but it's worth every second and the wait is part of the overall experience. I would highly recommend getting some ink at Elm Street Tattoo and would consider going back again and again.

So. Everything was great, including the pricing & art. However- the brunette with glasses who "greets" you and gives you unreasonable pricing... I would certainly consider bad for business. She was rude every single time I talked to her and even when I went to leave. This place should definitely consider a replacement for whatever she even is. She made me feel like I should take my business elsewhere. Luckily I didnt; my tattoo turned out amazing. All of the artists there seem just as amazing. Need new "receptionist/order taker" is my ONLY foul complaint. Thank you to everyone

Drew IG: @McElveney can crush any traditional you want and I'm sure other styles. Dude can pack color into it that'll last until we get flying cars. I picked out a flash piece and he styled it up way more insane than the original. Trust the artist y'all.

This place is literally the best they accepted us last minute as a bachelorette party and were very professional and accommodating. Gabe at the front was the sweetest and did his job very well. We need more ppl like him in the world!!!!

I really couldn't be happier with my tattoo, or the artist. I wanted a solar system, and he drew it out perfectly, and executed it so precisely. It's exactly what I wanted, and the experience was great. Everyone at the shop is so cool, and chill. My tattoo is healing very nicely, and I've had so many compliments already. It's my biggest one yet, and now I want more. Just overall, so happy with everything and highly recommend Patrick, he's so talented and has so much experience.

Elm Street tattoo has best the best tattoo shop we've been to. The people are very creative and knowledgeable. I could show them my art and ask if based on my tattoos they could come up with some I'd like and they could. Each time I go I can't wait to get paid to go again lol. They will be honest about the tattoos you want if they don't recommend a certain tattoo I would you go with their professional recommendation they would also try and give out ideas to work around with people.

Customer service amazing! I'm a part of my daughter's entourage and she needed some quick piercing maintenance. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable and able to meet her needs. With the current state of affairs she provided professional, quick and health conscious service.

I felt compelled to write this review after seeing negative reviews that struck me as incredibly inaccurate/potentially outright slanderous lies.

1. I have tested NEGATIVE for covid. After being tattooed here repeatedly. They are following protocols related to the pandemic and just general cleanliness because also NONE of my tattoos from here have been infected or given me any cause for concern.
2. If you are getting an incredibly important piece of artwork permanently inked on your body and YOU do not do your research or even remember your artists FIRST AND LAST NAME, I think that is on you

Thank you to Josh and Jason for a great first tattoo experience! My boyfriend and I walked in right when they opened one day this week to get our first tattoos. The artists were super nice and so patient helping us sort through the books and get an idea of what we wanted. I walked in pretty scared with it being my first one, but they both very patient and made me feel totally comfortable.

I wasn't totally sure what to expect as far as pricing, but I know you get what you pay for and we are both THRILLED with how our tattoos turned out.
