Jeong Hyee (Jenny) received her California acupuncture license in 2002 after graduating from Samra University. She is specialized in treating sport injuries such as tennis elbow, golf elbow, shingles, arthritis, sciatica pain, plantar fasciitis, and chronic pain by utilizing acupuncture. She is very passionate about listening to the patient's needs and finding the root condition of their health conditions.
We are happy to say that most of the insurance companies now cover acupuncture, especially for the treatment of pain. Excellent! I originally started coming for lower back pain and I also struggle a lot with my sinuses; I have been coming to Nuba Acupuncture for a couple of months now, and have seen a significant improvement in both of the areas mentioned. MIRACLE WORKERS!!! I've had chronic back and neck pain that my previous acupuncturist couldn't help. I've came here a few times and bam. I will never go back to this place. All they care about is money. I go get acupuncture and cupping done a lot, once or even two times every two weeks. I've been to a lot of acupuncture places and they do the same thing for me: acupuncture and cupping and I always just pay $15 for copay. They usually combine the services and just let me pay my $15 but NOT NUBA. They only charge me $15 for acupuncture and $40 for cupping. I left paying $55 when I could've have gone to the other places I usually go to. This place was far from where I lived and I took a chance on them. Never again. Save your

I have been suffering from back pain and neck pain with no relief for 20 plus years. Recently I have had a new diagnoses of Ankylosing Spondylitis. Just when I gave up hope of pain relief I met Dr Han Na Kim. I will be forever grateful to her. Because of her knowledge of the human body I now am pleased to say I have more range of motion and less pain then I have for years , after only 3 weeks of seeing Dr Kim, twice a week. I have Kaiser. I have suffered from severe back pain for a long time and it has gotten worse. I don't know why. My doctor in physical medicine referred me for acupuncture. I did not think it would work. I also thought it would hurt. After all putting needles in my back sounded awful. I have now gone for about five treatments. The doctor is a dream. She is so nice and so supportive. That means a lot. She is also very gentle. I never feel a thing. She uses needles for the first part of the treatment. I came to Nuba Acupuncture due to my right shoulder pain. I couldn't raise my right arm up to the top before coming to this Clonic. Now I've just finished 2 treatments. Currently, The pain is getting less and less when I raise my arm up. My doctor is Dr. Hanna. Her treatment is different from other oriental medicine doctors. My dad has frozen shoulder for a long~ time. He already had many many treatment from other places and taking medications but it didn't work at all. Seriously, just one time of treatment from here, he can raise his arm!!! And he said he feels so comfortable. We are from LA county so it was pretty far driving. But it doesn't matter. I’ve been going to Dr. Kim’s office for a few months for a chronic running hamstring injury, as well as a new knee injury. They are very attentive to my needs. This is my first experience with acupuncture and they have made it feel very wonderful (even though I’m being stuck with needles 😀). They are kind and friendly. My injuries have been improving with my visits and I am very confident that it is helping me physically and mentally. I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis last year. I had tried every treatment available – physical therapy, steroid injections and numerous upon numerous pills, ointments and other medications. UPDATE for my migraine. Last 2month, I only had 3 migraine attacks and they were short ones. Compare to the migraines before acupuncture, it is a huge change. I used to have migraine all the time 4-5times a week and they lasted up to 6 hours to days. Dr.Kim told me to come to clinic 2-3times a week even when I don't have migraine and I followed her direction. Now, I can say that my migraine is undercontroll without any medication! I had been suffering from neck pain and shoulder pain for many years now. I was hopeless when I came to Nuba acupuncture in the beginning because my symptoms were getting worse even with many years of medication and physical therapy. However, Dr. Jenny welcomed me on the initial visit and had a consultation, explained what the main causes. I never had an acupuncture done but I felt very comfortable. I found this clinic through yelp a few month ago, and was happy with the fact that they accepted my Kaiser insurance. I came here for acupuncture to treat my lower back pain and sciatica issues. The shooting pain I had from sciatica was bad, and caused a lot of discomfort when I sit or stand for an extended time. I felt immediate relief after one session, but the pain returned in 2 days. I was struggling with tiny bumps of acne and some pimples. Dr. Hannah carefully processed everything from cleansing my skin (yes. you can wear your makeup), numbing, mask, micro needling, and to finally, skincare . It was a pleasant experience all together. She walked through the details of precautions what to and what not to do after the treatment. My skin definitely improved especially the redness and the tiny bumps.
