I started my passion for baking as a young girl making my first wedding cake at the age of twelve. I progressed and expanded my interest in baking and cake decorating by taking beginner through advanced cake decorating classes, as well as other specialty classes. While living in Ohio, I was honored to receive first place in the Wedding Cake division for three consecutive years.
Furthermore, over the past two decades, I have attended numerous international cake shows and conventions. I have been blessed and honored to work full time in my private baking business for 10+ years and with fabulously talented people. I am fortunate to have so many wonderful customers and strive for a personal touch on each custom order.

Wow! That is the first word that comes to mind. The Cake Lady made all my cake dreams a reality for my wedding! She was incredibly easy to work with and truly listened to what me and my husband wanted in a cake. She took all our ideas and went above and behind to make the most beautiful cake. Not only was the cake beautiful everyone was raving about how delicious it was. I've never seen a line for cake at a wedding before until my wedding because the cake was just that popular! We are so glad we got to work with The Cake Lady for our special day! We wouldn't have wanted anyone

Due to Covid we have had to cancel our wedding twice
First July 11th and now Sept 12th
The cake lady was going to make us 2 sheet cakes for which I gave her a 50$ dep.
At one point she sent me back my deposit.
Shortly after we found out we could reschedule so I reached out to her asking if she could still make them and I would shred the check.
All was well until we were forced to cancel again indefinitely. All of the sudden it was her policy to not give back deposits. Terrible business practice especially when she didn’t have this in her policy

I called to order a cake a day before a surprise 60th and she was delightful and more than accomadating. Picked up a gorgeous white round chocolate ganache with daisy's and a beautiful 60 sign. It was sooo moist and delish everybody raved about it. Her prices are more than reasonable too! Thanks Cake Lady

The Cake Lady did a wonderful job making an incredible 5-tier cake for our wedding in Columbia, MO. She went above and beyond, and the cake was a perfect combination of elegant, yet classic. The flowers adorning the cake even matched our wedding colors! She also did an awesome job creating our wedding treats as parting gifts for those that came to our wedding reception. We highly recommend The Cake Lady any time you are craving a custom-made, yummy dessert or a cake for any occasion!

Jana did my wedding cake and I actually loved it. She also made a chocolate groom's cake that was just delicious! Only thing was she didn't communicate with me much and the cake arrived on a different cake stand than I had given her. The reason for only 2 stars is she completely messed up my sister's wedding cake. I wouldn't recommend her thanks to that incident.

I also requested beading around the base of each layer and showed her a photo of how I wanted it. She said yes she can do it, and we even paid extra for that. When it came, it just had frosting around the base and the beads were scattered randomly over the cake. NOT AT ALL how we had discussed.
I don't know if she just forgot or if she decided on her own to do it differently, but either way it is sooo unprofessional!! She needs

A recent trip to for cupcakes in Kansas City reminded me of the excellent baked products this woman has been making for years. She specialized in wedding and birthday cakes then business was so good she opened up a store front and serves fresh baked items daily. Cakes are her specialty. She has a number of excellent cupcakes. My favorite, the chocolate raspberry filled. She makes little mini cupcakes with chocolate chips. She has cookies as well on some days.
