Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground

BIG campsites good for big rigs and dogs! No shade if that is important to you. Clean bathhouse and laundry, but only one washer and dryer and $3 a load. We went into town to do laundry cheaper and faster. We had an emergency and the management was very accommodating with refunding our last 4 days. Not every campground would do the same!!

Location of the campground is perfect for visiting Pictured Rock. Owners are wonderful people and went out of their way to accommodate us through a problem we encountered during our visit. Our site was perfectly level, did not have to use leveling blocks. The sites are spacious!! We were back along the tree line and it was very nice.

Don't know why people gave 5 stars?Really? The owners cleared the woods for a boring wide open field but forgot to keep some trees. Only dirt roads.Must be fun in the rain. One men's toilet for 60+ sites. 4 showers but already outdated. Wifi basically nowhere working. Only one amplifier is not enough guys!! Beware of the fire ant plies everywhere in the grass. Laundry is a joke.$ 6 and only one machine. Dumpster in the open field, not even a sight blocking fence around it. Clearly no pride in ownership here and much work to do. With over $ 50 way too expensive.

Won’t be going back anytime soon if at all.
I found the lack of trees and grass (mostly weeds), the dirt roads, the choice of stones (sharp, not gravel as specified on their website) used for the camping pads, and the idea of only one men’s toilet 🚽 to be shared by the entire campground very unappealing.
Perhaps if improvements are made I will reconsider it.

Spent a week here in our 5th wheel in an interior site. Place is okay…best sites, in our opinion, are sites 1-15, & 32 which have a cement pad. All other sites are gravel. Sites a really big: wide & deep. There is grass, just UP grass which tends to be scrubby. Would also recommend the sites that are on the outside edge as you have trees behind your site. Would not recommend the pull thrus as they have no front living space- you are on the road. No air tv channels, which was expected due the location. WiFi was down the whole week. Sites are not overly level-ours had significant downward slope

We stayed at the Pictured Rocks RV Park AUG 1-7, 2021. It is a very nice place with large sites. It was very peaceful & quiet and clean. As a newer park the trees within the park are still small. The only negative I have is the number of toilets available for over 50 sites. Other than that I highly recommend Pictured Rocks RV park and I would stay there again.

This is a nice park in a great location. The staff was friendly. The town of Christmas is interesting but not much to do. One negative about this park is that many of the sites could use some better leveling. Most of the rigs I saw had to fully extend and even block up their leveling jacks. Our site had a significant slope from back to front (towards the roadway). I’m also not a fan of crushed asphalt for pad material. It tracks into the rig too easily and can make a mess if you’re not careful. The owners were improving the park and I think it will end up a hard five star when they are through

Definitely still building out the campground, but AC power is stable, and sites are clearly marked, mostly slabs, and suitably level. Staff is friendly and helpful of local info. Sites are plenty long but a bit tight together if you're used to state parks.

Well thought out plans at this park. Will get even better as time goes on. You can tell it’s rather new, trees are still growing, so no shade yet. I think the nicest site was #5 for shade and privacy. We had a site out in the middle. Nothing fancy, but great location for exploring and reasonable & fair prices. 👍🏻

If you are looking for glamorous camping you might be disappointed however, you’ll find some of the most generous sites with large gravel pads. There’s a great off road for dog walking with wild raspberries for the taking. Once the grass fills in it will be a fine campground. Don’t expect too much and you’ll find it’s a fine place for a stay. By the way, there is a great steakhouse in Christmas just a short drive away.
