The early years of funeral service in Spearfish was rooted in the McColley family. The first brother had it for a number of years, then his brother Dallas, and finally a third brother Rawlin. Ray and Nadine Fidler came to Spearfish in 1955 and Ray began working for Dallas.
Ray landscaped the new location at 450 7th st., which Dallas and Margaret had built in order to move from a smaller location on Main Street, late in 1956, after Rawlin had made the purchase from Dallas. In May of 1957 the Fidlers acquired the McColley business, and moved their operation to 7th Street.

We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Isburg Funeral Homes is a full-service funeral home, dedicated to serving the needs of those who entrust the care of their loved ones to our service. We treat your family as our family, affording all the affection and compassion we would provide to our own family members. Traditional services are those in which the deceased's body is caringly prepared to be present at the funeral service.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Our Funeral Home offers all the convenience of a modern day Funeral Home and all the comforts of a home. Our present day facility was completed in the Fall of 2003, and features a large comfortable lobby and a modern conference room. Our chapel features cathedral ceilings with solid oak pews with a seating capacity of 185.

I was told to pick up flowers from my grandfather's funeral. A lady on the phone said they close at 430 and I told her I had to nurse my baby and I would be right there. I pulled into the parking lot, right AT 430! The only car I seen was leaving just as I was pulling in. I parked and went to the door. They were closed.. If she was leaving the parking lot at 430, she locked the doors a few mins early. She knew I had to feed my baby, she knew I was coming. And if that wasnt her, she closed up even earlier. She spoke to me 30 mins prior. You need a different job lady. I WoULD NOT RECOMMEND this place

They treated my husband with respect and dignity. They gave us all the time we needed with him. Tom and Mary Helped us through every step with kindness, they were so understanding. My brother passed away in March and I was so impressed with their professionalism and caring attitude that’s why I chose them for my husband. I would highly recommend this funeral chapel for your loved ones services. Thank you Tom and Mary you made a difficult time less stressful on our entire family.

In times of difficulties they are not there to help you emotionally or whatever. They are there for the business nothing else. And to those who wants to save money do not fall on their "FEDERAL LAW" bait for you to spend more. Read about the laws in FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION and also FUNERAL RULES.
We were not happy how they handle mom's body, we want the itemized option wherein you can only pay $50 per day for refrigeration but they embalmed mom's body with out consent from the family because they want us to get the $3,450 package that we don't need. Our plans for mom's body was ruined coz they
